Boeing gets some credit here for good design by adding redundant RCS. 28 independent thrusters and im assuming gyroscopes as well (reaction wheels) were the only thing keeping that craft from going off into space Had all the thrusters failed on 1 side, they likely would have to deorbit before entering an uncontrollable spin, and if such thrusters had failed during thrust close to the ISS, everybody on both ships could have died It's a really minor thing that was saved by having extra backups for backups, but this can't happen again, not even in a rush. The ISS has enough supplies to last a little while, and they will have to make it last, but they are trained to do that
There's no reaction wheels. Generally they don't work well for crewed spacecraft, which don't spend long in free flight and need reliable systems with high redundancy. Reaction wheels come out too heavy.

Boeing gets some credit here for good design by adding redundant RCS. 28 independent thrusters and im assuming gyroscopes as well (reaction wheels) were the only thing keeping that craft from going off into space
Had all the thrusters failed on 1 side, they likely would have to deorbit before entering an uncontrollable spin, and if such thrusters had failed during thrust close to the ISS, everybody on both ships could have died
It's a really minor thing that was saved by having extra backups for backups, but this can't happen again, not even in a rush.
Call Uber to deliver food for the astronauts stuck in space.
Its just a redesign of old school apollo capsules by the look of it. The more complex they make it just leads to a greater chance of failure
Sounds like der T V series Gillian's Island. A three hour tour¿? Riiight.
I wander how much they make for overtime?
Space flight is risky. Hopefully, these people can be rescued and brought back to earth.
Hope they will come back.
At this point I would rather go home on a Soyuz than Starliner.

Do they have enough food and water to last them?
Yes they have enough supplies on board and don't forget every three or four month they are getting a cargo ship with food , drinks and other supplies up !
Nice video ❤
Those two up there are going to have ASTRO Babies now because NASA can't stop human nature!😛😛😛
Not surprised, Boeing can’t even keep the doors on their planes. 💁🏽♀️
02:13 - "The funding discrepancy was partly due to Boeing's arguments about SpaceX's reliability". Ha ha ha! Those clowns.
Are those the same guys that secure plug-doors in their airplanes with Elmer's glue?
Why don't they have escape pods for emergencies?
Challenges make stronger future endeavours, we should stick to the silver linings.
Whats going on with Boeing - Why so successful for so many decades & now more & more problems as decades go on??
Its not the same Boeing. They merged with Mcdonnel Douglas. Then the entire Boeing leadership got replaced by the Mcdonnel Douglas leadership. Then they moved their HQ so that new leadership didnt have to mingle with lowly engineers. Then they outsourced anything and everything to cut costs.
Boeing has lost the ability to design and make stuff, they simply outsoure all that to other companies. Essentially they have become the guy in the middle, like a car dealership.
If I that was me I’d be trying to get back home on the spacex ship
