I recently flew on New Pacific Airlines from Ontario, California to Reno, Nevada and back! What a gorgeous pair of flights, on a beautiful Boeing 757, crewed by some of the nicest flight attendants and pilots I’ve ever flown with. Yeah, their network is small and they’ve had to completely shift gears from what they originally set out to do. That said, if you find yourself needing to get to Nashville or Reno, you should consider New Pacific. Heck, maybe you just want to fly on an old US Airways/American 757 again! 100% worth it! And no, they aren’t paying me to say this… I paid for my tickets on both flights. I have seen a lot of negativity thrown towards New Pacific online, and most of it coming from people who have never flown them or Ravn Alaska. And personally I feel that they outperformed my expectations in every area. If you get a chance, give them a try! Now, if we can just get a ONT-ANC flight 😁.
Unreal! It’s 2024 and a 757 and 727 are taking off on the same runway! Talk about a blast from the past, great flight, it’s awesome to hear a pair of RB211’s sing!
Wow. What are the chances ....in 2024....of being on a B757 turning onto the departure runway and having a B727 waiting it's turn just a couple hundred feet away...fantastic!
Wow! You already got on the new airline.I saw a post from someone a few days ago having not heard about this new airline and there you are..on it..already. Legend!!!
Lovely captured and as always appreciated your beautiful sharing adventure documentary updated, keep it up and have a wonderful blessing weekend .. thanks
15:30 my old ramper days. Back when AA was a single gate, single type, single destination service. Gate 410, MD-82/3, and DFW. ❤ also, what an interesting departure! Flown North out of ONT dozens of times and never experienced a left turn and flying out the way they usually come in!
I watched both flights, going from Reno across the Sierras and returning over Nevada the next day. Gives you a wonderful sense of completeness, homecoming. Nice job guys and gals!
Many years ago - mid "80's - I remember flying from SFO directly into S, Lake Tahoe airport on a commercial flight. I don't remember the airline or the aircraft. but I do remember the landing was a nail- biter for me.
Thanks Bryce, quite a short but sweet experience. Nice but bumpy climb out circling then to the east of ONT, then across the high desert and into fresh powder in RNO and surroundings. Just a wonderful view all the way.
What a peculiar routing. Looks like you guys were halfway to Vegas before the pilot made a hard left toward Reno. Seemed to add an additional 20-30min to the flight. I’ll be on this flight tomorrow. Got an offer to upgrade at check-in for $9!! Thanks for sharing 👍🏼
WOWOWOWOW!! Super-Fantabulous Spectacular views all the way on this flight!! Wow. The sun looks soooooooo much brighter down in ONT than up here. The big news here: it's 45 degrees right now!! It feels so warm that I'm wearing my sandals instead of my regular shoes.
Hello again, sorry it’s been so long, I’ve had a lot on my plate looking after the farther in law, just popped in to say great work as ever, I’ll try my best to watch and comment more, all the best buddy, be well & happy flying 👊🤝
One of your better videos! Here in CA we have a lot of elevations changes. Reno/Lake Tahoe 5-6000 ft elevation. Reno might have snow on the ground and 30's for temps but an hour a way it might be 60-70 degrees. Ontario to Reno is a perfect example of this in Dec Jan Feb
Great video as always 👍 I remember this airline setting Orlando as one of its destinations at one point - dunno if it will ever come into fruition, but I do kinda like the idea of a non-stop flight from here to Alaska, and another jaunt onto Japan (my native country)
Great video! I love how the RB211 engines or whatever they are keep on buzzing and slowing down! Do you know what cruising altitude was set for that flight? Also, that turbulence looked a little bumpy and choppy.
So what's the skinny on New Pacific? Are they a LCC or how do they want to be identified? Buy on board catering? Interesting seat choice, your feet right by the exit door! That was one tight left turn for us to be able to have ONT almost under us! Loved how the pilot reduced thrust once that turbulence kicked in! What is NP's callsign? Quite the climate change going to Reno, looked warm and sunny at ONT but cold and snowy at RNO--that DL 175 hasn't moved in a while judging from the accumulated snow. Did you do a quick turnaround going back to ONT? Am guessing those are Rolls Royce engines pushing you along.
I mean, technically they are a LCC. Although their onboard product and service is more like a legacy carrier with multiple classes. So, they're kind of in between. For now there is no buy onboard catering, but you do get a drink and a cookie on each flight. New Pacific uses RAVN FLIGHT as their callsign. Which is because they're basically the same company as Ravn Alaska.
Before the 787 and 737 Max, Boeing used what they called “customer codes” to identify what airline originally ordered each aircraft. B7 was originally Allegheny Airlines which became US Air and eventually US Airways. So B7 designates any Boeing aircraft originally ordered by US Airways. Another example is H4. That is Southwest’s Boeing customer code. So that’s why all their NG 737’s are 737-7H4 or 8H4. If you see one in their fleet listed as 79P or 723 etc, they were bought second hand from another airline.
Cool flight, loved all the beautiful snow. Curious as to why 4 different gates were used 4 2 flights? Also the flight coming to ONT seemed fuller than the return one.
Nice. Believe it or not, I'm a big NASCAR fan. It's the been the only sport I've followed religiously for any length of time. I started watching in the early 2000's and have never stopped!
Great fly! Is there any commercial aircraft that is equipped with flare to avoid surface-to-air missile or air-to-air missiles especially used by terrorists?
Yes, I do. In fact, I'm home way more than I'm in the air. I only fly around 8 days per month. I fly just to get footage for the channel, so I often fly 2, 3, or 4 segments a day. My record is 8 in one day. So, that's how I post everyday, even though I don't fly everyday.
Northern Pacific Airways and New Pacific Airlines are the same airline. They were sued for trademark infringement by the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway, who still owns the rights to the Northern Pacific Railway, and to avoid a costly legal battle that they very well may have won, they simply re-branded instead. It'd be tough going up against a multi-billion dollar corporation.
I believe that 727 is owned by Raytheon and they use it to test different things. After typing that I went and looked it up to see if I was correct and this is what comes up. simpleflying.com/rayth
@@deevog sorry my friend, I won't be doing that. First, I don't have an S24, and second, I do not have the money to just go out and buy one. Yes, they have good cameras as well, butI have built my channel around the iPhone. I film with them exclusively, I then edit meh videos on a special built iMac, using Final Cut Pro. So, it all works seamlessly because I used Apple products and Apple software for the entire process. Trying to switch to Galaxies would not only be extremely costly, but it also wouldn't even work with some of the stuff I use.
The reason I don't do that is because of the overall quality loss that comes with filming with an ultra wide angle lens. Yeah, it's nice to see the whole engine, but the resolution lost when switching to a wide angle is crazy. 4K suddenly looks like 1080 HD at best. You lose so much detail and sharpness that I decided a long time ago that it wasn't worth it. The overall quality of the videos suffers too much.

Very nice video, keep up the good work. Thrust reduction at 19:11 sounds so good.
This video is the reason that life is worth living!
Thank you for capturing this beautiful flight experience on my favorite 757 livery.
Thanks my friend! You know me, I do what I can haha.

Thanks my friend. Yeah it was definitely a bumpy climb.

Ex-AA 757s roar so much better than the UA ones! Much louder and more pronounced. I love it. United ones sometimes barely even roar!

Faço das suas, minhas palavras! Conheci o canal há pouco tempo e estou gostando demais.
IMO, if the 747 will always be considered the Queen of the skies, the 75 should always be considered the beautiful powerful princess......
They done changed the runway numbers at RNO!

Whoops, hit enter on accident. Yes i did the turn and went straight back to ONT. And yes, you're correct. Those are mighty Rolls Royce engines.
Was that a little bit of moderate turbulence on that departure?
It was pretty bumpy on the climb. It was definitely close to the high end of “light” turbulence if it didn’t cross over to moderate a couple of times.

Who else noticed the 727? 18:05
Good catch my friend! It's very rare to see a 727 these days! I was glad to have captured it!
Great fly! Is there any commercial aircraft that is equipped with flare to avoid surface-to-air missile or air-to-air missiles especially used by terrorists?
Not in the US, but there around the world. El Al based in Israel has them on all of their aircraft due to the ongoing conflict in the area.
There was an airplane with a long nose
Yup, that is Raytheon's test bed Boeing 727.
How do you fly all over the country/world all the time? Dont you ever go home?
Yes, I do. In fact, I'm home way more than I'm in the air. I only fly around 8 days per month. I fly just to get footage for the channel, so I often fly 2, 3, or 4 segments a day. My record is 8 in one day. So, that's how I post everyday, even though I don't fly everyday.

Is this Northern Pacfic’s sister airline?
Northern Pacific rebranded as New Pacific

Strange routing going to Reno.
Do you mean that as in it’s a strange route for them to operator, or do you mean the ATC routing was weird on this particular flight?
@@sla31 i expected them to go direct to Palmdale then north to RNO instead of over the cajone pass. Just out of the way routing is all.
Its mobile cam? Which one?
