Alan, your ingenuity is very inspiring for my own projects. That base is brilliant and I look forward to seeing the finished product. Way to go man! Great work!!
Alan I enjoyed the first part watching you get the mixer running. Now seeing you turn an old retired piece of equipment back into a better than new mixer with all the multi function. Great video keep it up
I love how you Recycle, Reuse, Repurpose, Restore and Reinvent old equipment. Just like they did in the good old days......1930's on. Very good to watch now as inflations is "killing everything".
Man, I love that you implemented som timelaps shots. thought for a long time it's what your Videos were missing! Keep it and keep up your great Videos! Loooking forward to see the Mountain Fortress again 🙂
Alan within a few short weeks You and this channel have become my number one favorite thing to watch! I look forward to binge watching every single video! Thanks for being so freaking awesome!
Love the episodes wizard. I really want you to get the help and time to really get some serious work done on the fortress. It'll be so cool but that's an insane project to do alone. I want nothing more for you than to finish this decades long project and see the fortress fully finished. That mixer will sure help out alot. I need one of my own just like that
Nice job Mr wizard you preform a magic spell and got it welded a running. Now you can brew a magic potion in your cement mixer n finish the fortress. Love the channel ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Alan if you see this, try to make your short videos stretch to ten minutes for TH-cam. I think it has something to do with the revenue the video can generate. Hope that helps.
Me thinks that this particular creation is one that you could have used/ wanted to have many, many moons ago. Thank you for this episode, I look forward to every one you post!
Has Alen ever started any project that he didn't know the year, the engine and not fix it? Or has he ever worked so hard and not be thinking about the next parapet on the Fortress? It's No, and no. His name Wizard, is his nom de plume, but his moniker Al, is his way of allowing us to humanize, and harmonize with him on his journey through time and space.
Hey man love the content. Just becareful when working under a loaded forklift things can fail at the wrong times..been a witness to a freak accident.. love the content though you wizard!!
1:45 yeah great shots of the arse of your jeans there mate.😅 Any chance that in future you might shoot from where I can actually see what you're doing, since you've gone to the bother, and all that? 😉👍
Manufacturers pay attention and emulate the wizard. If i'm rebuilding a mixer its going to be the strongest most capable and versatile fuking mixer on the planet.
Hmmm... why is that crossbeam in the middle? See now you poor the concrete out of the kettle, and on to this beam...which is nasty,...maybe a U form would solve this? With the crossbeam in the back of the back of the kettle, so you can swing it and never meet a crossbeam during the flow of concrete out of this kettle...? That would be my design...please...carry on. But harder to redo now I guess. It looks sturdy this way though. Great work Alan!
Hopefully Alan checked how it would dump into a wheel barrow with the wide cross beam in that position. A mixer isn't very useful if you have to dump into buckets held by hand however you can add a chute or add a 2X8 box beam at the back and cut the middle one out afterwards if it turns out to be a problem. If it gets raised high enough though with the center beam there is the possibility of being able to dump from either side. Alan will better know when he swings it through its range of motion however it looks very tight to the lip of the drum now with a potential for the drum to catch on the center beam preventing it from swinging past it. With steel prices what they are today I try to avoid having to redo things especially with box steel like that costing about $300 or so for an 8 foot piece and then you have to factor in the welding wire and shielding gas too making it pretty easy to blow through a thousand dollars in a very short time. Edit: Just checked the original schematic on that STONE 95CMED mixer and that one was designed to be towed and was missing most of the lower frame, axle, draw bar and stabilizers. Alan's mod appears to be an improvement over the original design giving better access to the drum. The original design had it dumping off the back of the trailer with a brace along the back preventing you from getting any further under the drum. See: www.jobsiteparts.com/stone-95cmed-concrete-mixer-parts.html#145126_1 Best!
I love that Dave lets his employees utilize the shop for personal projects and tinkering. Refining their skills 1 project at a time 👏
Exactly what I was thinking my friend. The Wizard has got the Diesel Bros out of a few sticky situations so they really can't afford to say no.
I love that Dave lives a a million dollar mansion whilst Alien lives in a hovel fantasizing about a pie in the sky.

Great idea to make it more of a utility for everything you do. Can wait to see it in action.
Makes it work. Good stuff.
Alan gives equipment new life, and I think that's cool.
7:04 Beautiful!! Can't wait to see the rest :)
wow this mixer is shaping up to be a real gem now
I was wondering when you would work on that mixer again ! Thanks for sharing !
Alan I think a telehandler would serve you well at the Fortress.
That is a great modification and improvement for the mixer. Good Job,
That is so cool. What a set up. Nice work, that will pay off handsomely
Really nice welding work.
Thanks for the content Alan. Lovin it... Down in Texas
Allen aka Wizard will now be able to putting up his block walls on the Fortress a hell of a lot faster than he was able to. Build baby build.

You really meant to say "concrete" mixer!
Hmmm... why is that crossbeam in the middle? See now you poor the concrete out of the kettle, and on to this beam...which is nasty,...maybe a U form would solve this?
