There is a lot of autotune in both this and the original. Not that they need it, but I guess its to make it sound more country. None of them have a country sounding voice. This recording sounds like both playback and live but with autotune.

It was really fun to see how they would bring the video and song to a stage production. I loved seeing live performance.

I imagine its a sound quality measure. They wouldn´ t have problems doing it, but the sound would suffer with just their portable mics.
