I have the first version of the Kondor Blue fx3 cage and it constantly comes loose during a shoot. I'm always needing to tighten things down. Total pain. Did you experience that with the version 2?
Yea ours felt a little loose as well! We didn’t end up getting the v2 we got the small rig and more recently the new low profile tilta one and haven’t had any issues!
@@JUICEBOXCREATIVE yeah I picked up the smallrig cage and have been using for the past couple weeks. It's much better than the Kondor Blue cage. I can't believe I waited that long.
@@JUICEBOXCREATIVE I agree! I can’t over the “distressed” look of the small rig though. I ended up with the Tilta cage because I use it more for run/gun and don’t usually have my FX30 on a tripod.
The top handle of the SmallRig wiggels, while the Kondor Blue is absolutley solid. The Condor blue cables are available in all black if you want to, but also in red or blue. So the colors are not an issue, its rather the opposite: The blue nuances make the Condor Blue more premium than the all black SmallRig. And also the built quality of Kondor Blue is better than Smallrig overall. You cant put your camera on the left or right side? Come on, who does that?
Haven’t tried the top handle, but overall we felt like KB stuff was always just a little too bulky but yea you’re right about the cables, we use some of them! Yea a lot of need for side mounting as vertical video needs are more and more in demand from our clients.
If I ever watched a nit picky review, this is it... like he goes out of his way to make it sound terrible when really its all personal preference 👎👎 cry baby content creator 😭

Did you consider the Tilta cage?
We did look at it! But the built in tripod mount makes it kind of cumbersome. We liked the arca swiss bottom of the small rig.
