isn't no recoil kind of a bad thing since you don't have the option of Recoil Canceling? The threat of additional hitboxes makes recoil threatening still in a lot of cases, particularly if you've got a DP.
@@TurtleKnite Not particularly, because most things are so plus that they can't punish anything to begin with, and the need to actually bait anything is not there. Since they don't have access to serious damage, pokes, and their overhead is neutered. You kind of just need to watch for a sweep or any other overheads they might have and only because a knockdown would mean the opportunity for them to get their weapon back. In other words you can just bully the fuck out of a weaponless person with the only worry being that they catch your standing slashes, which is why you kind of want to just spam jumps.
Jeez, it seems Genjuro has like every tool you could possibly want to succeed in this game, a good DP that's pretty hard to punish, command grab, a good projectile that leads to a high/low mix up if blocked, a rekka that's a left/right mix up, godlike normals, etc.
When Genjuro uses his rekka and there is no card setup involved, even if the first part hits you, you still have the option to jump or dodge the second hit instead of guessing the mixup. Edit: Great matches btw.^^
@@user-lj3zz5hd8g Pretty sure it works as long as the first hit is the HS version, i.e. the cross-up. LS I think is a true combo so that you cannot dodge or jump after the first one hits. Not sure about the MS version though.
As a fellow Jubei main I'd like to discuss why you don't use HS that often. Especially on neutral jumps, seeing you whiff B so often troubles me. I believe you're leaving a lot of damage on the table in favor of a combo that might get dropped
coconut cream sounds actually disgusting now that iv'e thought about it for the first time. Especially since i don't like coconut. Actually I might just take the whole thing back, because for some reason, a coconut cream filled doughnut sounds amazing
Tam tam counters him pretty well, also you didnt embrace death jm. That man...that man lived and died by the DP, this person must have a tattoo of the DP input.
when the guy jump when you're in rage burst, is basicly dead you know just pressing 3 buttons just before he land to perform a full invincible fatal slash...
try backdashing the mid-range/long-range rekka cross-up. It's easier to react to and since it whiffs he can't continue to possibly cross-up again. Don't think that'll work on the card set-up but it's still an option for raw rekkas.
I feel like you should get up normally after knocked down instead of rolling more often. I hardly ever see you do it, I feel like it would work well against a Genjuro player
It actually takes a lot more to master Smash thanks to all the huge variables the game has. Samurai Shodown is a much simpler game. Maybe you meant it takes more time to play at a basic level where you can just stsrt having fun and not have your ass handed to you, but that's also wrong if you ask me if we divided Smash between casual and competitive play. Even low level competitive players in Smash have an easy time besting somebody who doesn't really understand the huge roster and frame data.
@@yamiryuu I'm both a Smash and SamSho player and I play on pad, I'm currently standing at 7k elo and I think I'm pretty decent. But it takes way less time to get good at a hitbox in SamSho than it would ever take in Smashbox and the difference isn't even that huge that you should objectively play on it or not play at all.

ya hate to see it
"We were winning but now we're losing" samshow in a nutshell
Another difference between being disarmed is that hitting a disarmed player is safer, less negative frames and no recoil.
Yo you're from the discord

Your SamSho vids make my day, man. Keep it up! You're pretty good and keeps me so hype to get this game soon.
You really are one of - if not the - most friendly and likable streamers I have ever seen!
I really enjoy your videos!

I think his only major issue is he can get zoned out. Once he gets going he's a nightmare tho
Not so godlike normals as he can get out-footsie'd by the likes of Jubei, but overall you're right. Genjuro has everything to be a monster.
I wish more folks were playing this game. Y'all are missing out. :)
Def gonna pick this up when I get my elgato and kill la kill this game is intense from the start
Because I'm a PC player.

It is commendable how cool you are while playing against such a playstyle. I would be tilted before the end of the first round for sure.
genjuro don t know what recovery is , the grab to counter the set up was great
Awesome! Just like the good old days at the arcades.
I main Shiki and some characters like Genjuro are just playing a different game. He has so many more tools.
Yerp.. Yashamaru has alot..
GET HIM OUT

Thats pretty much most genhuro players tho'. Dp is their bread and butter
How does Tam Tam counter Genjuro? Not disagreeing. I'm just curious.
@@Zdman2001 his range can keep genjuro out
@@hioxd Ok, thanks. I've had a hard time because of his amazing dp. Probably not playing quite right.
Take a shot for every DP.
I really needed to see you 60% him with a Jubei parry counter. Genjuro's so annoying. His DP is just stupid.
That was an awesome match, you are probably top 10 in the game already. seems like you haven't lost a set yet.
Definitely not top 10, but we'll see how I do at Evo
Great comeback. Big damage is so hype.
Great match. Been enjoying this content
when the guy jump when you're in rage burst, is basicly dead you know just pressing 3 buttons just before he land to perform a full invincible fatal slash...
That projectile with the rekka cross up is just dirty 🤣that shit looks hard to block even if u know is coming
Genjuro needs his sword to do ALL his special moves. Just parry or issen him and that's a wrap.
He needs to put GET EM OUT on a shirt😂
Samsho is fucking sick I like to watch this game plays

Its cheap that the weapon can fall off screen so you cant get it back
And people say this game is boring...
“Dragon punch? Yea.”
Even in shamsho jim always find a way to drop combos
More of these please
awesome match
It definitely feels like Genjuro has way too many good tools
@@petalsinthebreeze Tam Tam just has massive range. Hes tall af. He fights crouching..
Genjuro's recovery is ridiculous. And that cross up is pretty cheap when paired with card. Not to mention his multi hitting kick combo.
That was incredible
Feels real good.
Your face came is in such a perfect position
LETSS GOOOOOO!!!
This is so interesting to watch from wiewer perspective, pure mind games.Sfv and mk11 are so boring to watch compare to this.
man i just got the game and i cant combo weapon flip from backgrab at all i tried every possible way
Don't call it a comeback boys!
You seem to be enjoying yourself there haha
Samurai Throdown
What's your opinion on this game as a whole? I bought it on release and I keep dropping it and picking it back up.
I think it's great, most fun I've had with a fighting game since FighterZ was new
This game or Shaolin vs Wu tang 1?
I feel like you should get up normally after knocked down instead of rolling more often. I hardly ever see you do it, I feel like it would work well against a Genjuro player
This Genjuro was really good, but too risky, if he played safe he would be god tier
Anxiety...
Hah i had so much fun watching this.
when are you gonna post fighterz gameplay ?
Is the recka attacks unblockable
It crosses up, you have to switch the direction you're blocking
@@jmcrofts okey thanks i always jump to avoid getting hit by the reckas attacks gonna try that
1 view no way, what's up bro you havin a good day
Genjuro is the absolute worst. I cannot stand fighting him. Especially as a galford player.
He’s not the most op
Genjuro OP? Jubei is broken.
jubei is more op wym
Jubei is pretty boring to see. Fireballs and upercut :/
Ggs mad hahaha

Awe I thought I was first.
the setup is fake if you block the first hit which crosses up then the card will be blocked too
