When Mahomes threw the INT after the half that was Niners chance to put a knee on KC throats…not running the ball going to those empty sets against the best secondary in the league was crazy…OT should’ve never happened period
I agree with you in-game certainly. I also think they could have had an 85 Bears like performance with a far better secondary than Chicago had. KC had the better secondary overall, but the 49ers DLine was playing at a level that you did not need a blitz and imagine being able to double Kelce plus have 2 worthy corners for man2man coverage(when you only have Rice to account for) in addition to that. Whoever it was that was responsible blew it! It's also very, very possible that with a 5 man front--with as well as SF was playing with only 4--KC would only have 2 pass catchers on pass plays! Imagine only having to stop 2 or 3 players in the passing game every single time! Because KC did not have a legit offense for a SB contender, SF had liberties that defenses almost never get! AND, THE COACH(ES) ABSOLUTELY BLEW IT! SEEING AS HOW SF IS VET HEAVY, CALL BELICHICK UP NOW! HE CAN GET AN OC TO WORK WITH BROCK A WHOLE OFFSEASON!

Shanahan didn’t have a breakdown in protection on that final drive in OT, Shanahan didn’t have a football go off his leg on a punt return, Shanahan didn’t have a blocked FG attempt. Shanahan wasn’t committing those killer penalties. You can give him a little criticism, but at the end of the day, the players didn’t execute when they needed to
Right, but he continued to call a terrible game and made zero in game adjustments like usual. Turn overs happen, mistakes happen, good coaches adjust and win the game regardless. Kyle folds anytime there is a hint of adversity. The chiefs fumbled the ball, and mahomes threw a pick in plus territory. The chiefs still won because Reid is a great head coach who figures out a way to win the game.

As a Falcons fan, Kyle throwing the ball, on 1st a 10, from the *21-YARD LINE* which ended in a saxk that cost the Falcons the SB was UNFORGIVABLE, and honestly kinda suspect. Brady and the Pats had already rattled off 21 consecutive points and ALL we need was a FG to ice the game. We're INDOORS with Matt Bryant who literally was perfect that year from inside the 40, and an incredibly accurate kicker for his career. Not running the ball in that situation was nearly as criminal as the SEA not running the ball. When Julio Jones caught that pass at the 21yrd line; I kust knew it was game over. NOBODY WITH ANY SENSE DIALS UP A 5-STEP DROP IN THAT SITUATION. I realized the NFL was rigged that day, and Kyle was a double agent.
my problem was this is the second superbowl against the chiefs that they had no holding calls against them it happened in 2019 when bosa and buckner was held all game
Keys to the Loss 1. All those early penalties on offence 2. CMC fumble in the 1st quarter 3. That punt reception debacle 4. The missed point after 6. and didn’t get the TD being on the 5 yard line in overtime It’s not like the Chiefs “beat” the Niners. The Niners beat themselves! Niners need to develop a top 5 special teams unit to go with their top 5 offence and defence. Niners need to invest in the O-Line. Damn I miss Joe Staley. If we could have had Staley AND Williams? Stop abandoning the run when the blitz is killing you Kyle (this guy never learns) Get a reliable f'n kicker!
That last play shows that the biggest issue for this team and it was a problem all year long. They need better o-line guys. Hopefully they draft some this year.
Trent Williams, Aaron Banks,Jake Brendel, Jon Feliciano, Colton McKivitz? Their oline is no better nor worse than kansas city.. only difference is one has Mahomes and another has a game manager. And the 49ers have struggled against good defenses especially rush defenses all year.
The game was rigged. Did you see the O lineman literally turn to the right and totally ignore Chris Jones, and just pretend to block air? Most obvious fake game I’ve seen
@@guts7518shoutout to mahomes but that man put up 19 points in regulation and only got a touchdown because of a muffed punt. Purdy missed Aiyuk for a wide open TD. And almost had two interceptions. @@myleslewis655
It’s pretty obvious at this point Kyle Shannahan is not going to win as the 49ers head coach. The excuses are gone and the trend is constant. Bad play calling once and twice are understandable but three times is too much to defend. Every season his offenses fall apart with or without injuries.

Yes of course he does. They had the first half then when they came back out after for the 3rd they totally changed up what was working during the first half when the Chiefs could not stop it. If something is working why change it until they prove they can stop it. 3rd quarter was a joke with the crappiest play calling. HE DESERVES ALL THE CRITISM Also on defense they had 4 and had pressure all first half - then they start blitzing..lol WTH
Mr Bobby's opening coin toss was superb. I mean, it landed dead center in the middle of everyone, and just like Fred said it would. Best play of the game for SF.
The sets were the problem, the 49ers were lined up too tightly, allowing KC to stack the box with 9 or 10 players, leaving no room for an RB to find space. The 49ers needed to spread their players out much wider, use more motion as well, to try and throw off the Chiefs, who seemed to be able to pick up the plays the 49ers were about to run.
It’s all hindsight bias, especially that 3rd & 4 late in the 4th qtr. If they run & get stuffed, now what? “Just go for it on fourth down.” Well, if that fails then those same people would question the decision to not take the go ahead field goal lol.
@@mvpfocus I'd say go for it on 4th and goal from inside the 5 yard line if you're facing Mahomes. Otherwise, I'd just take a fg, or punt from outside fg range, and pray for a stop by the defense.
For the ot decision to kick I think people are leaving out an important detail. The 49ers defense was just on the field and gassed from the chiefs driving for the tying field goal and almost winning td. Having them go right back out already gassed sounds like an easy td drive for Mahomes and company and then you are stuck responded against a super rested KC defense. The other thing is if both teams score and its still tied the 3rd possession becomes sudden death meaning the 49ers would have had the chance to end the game and not worry about mahomes answering anymore. I think receiving made more sense with how the defense was at that moment
Your argument for yielding the strategic advantage of 2nd possession is that otherwise the Chiefs would have scored easily....just like they did against the rested defense?
@MikeHarvey-ol7xr im saying from a coaches perspective sending the defense out after just doing a long drive doesnt make as much sense. Hindsight is 20/20 but i understand wanting the ball first and giving your defense a second to breath. If the 49ers had scored when burdy had a man wide open kyle wouldnt be facing the same criticism. The real let down coaching wise wasnt the ot decision but not putting the game out of reach after the int and not running the ball in the second half nearly enough. They had way too many chances to put an end to the game and let the chiefs continue to hang around which we all know mahomes is like brady and montana, you let him hang around and it comes back to haunt you
@@Whocares66672 Thank you for a thorough and thoughtful reply. I questioned the decision at the time, just as Romo did, and I still hold that opinion. But, having discussions with people such as yourself has shown me that it was a much more nuanced decision than I first believed.
@MikeHarvey-ol7xr I truly enjoy having a real discussion too where both of us can present opinions and see different perspectives. I will say to your point though the thing that shocked me was how many 49er players were not aware of the ot rules as a coach should have his team prepared for all aspects of the game. Chris jones mentioned how the chiefs and andy reid had throughly gone over the playoff ot rules as early as training camp which definitely points to reid being more prepared than kyle for the ending of that game
Yes, but it has to do with his, and Lynch's, failure to build a championship-caliber O-line. Purdy did a remarkable job despite the pressure, far, far better than JimmyG did. But Chris Jones, with the rest of the Chiefs defense, dominated the line in the run game. Even more than they did in 2019 when they only shut down the interior run game.
Blocked extra point and a punt that randomly goes off our players foot into a TD was the real difference in the game. I can't complain about OT - they mad a decent decision based on the info they had. Also, if Greenlaw was in for that last drive it might have turned out differently.
Wilks was the most to blame: No 5 man fronts and no double of Kelce*?! Their defense would have been historic level if they were schematically right! Ultimately, despite the defense playing well for a long time, eventually what happened was everything the Chiefs did worked and--even before that--Kelce had an average 2nd half! *They made the same mistake the Ravens made! The Ravens were dominant defensively other than that! IF KYLE VETOED HIM, THEN IT'S HIS DEAL INSTEAD...
5 man front with 6 on the back end is an absolutely terrible scheme. They were getting pressure with 4 most of the game. I'm so confused by your statement.
This isn't on Wilks. PAT just started to figure out their defense at the right time where no counters could be made in time. They had them bottled up most of the game but it's only a matter of time.
@@Andre_Jordan They defense played very hard, but they were schematically off. With the right scheme, they have no problems stopping KC at any point. They made the same mistake the Ravens did! He definitely make critical errors!
Wilks had defense ready to play…even with Greenlaw out they held up to the end…before last play KC ran Shanny should’ve call a TO so team can come up with a plan
@@Jetsua02 No it is not for the Chiefs offense this year. Eventually, Mahomes got easy 1st downs running and that's one thing the 5 man front clogs up esp as well as they played last night. Plus, you can double Kelce and still single up the rest. You would press plus get to Mahomes all the time(they were doing that often with 4)...You don't take luxuries for granted; they could not do that on every offense, but, on KC, they could thrive doing it! AND, THEY WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN IN OT EITHER!
This was the closest SB game I ever witnessed. It could have gone either way. It's only natural to second guess this and that, and you can do it on both sides too. KC ended up one drive better last night. Gratifying win and a heartbreaking loss.
They should have run the ball primarily because their pass protection is bad and only holds up once the run game establishes. As you can see from the plays you've shown. Also, they didn't stay with the passing game on their next scoring drive. That drive, after falling behind, they truly went back to the run, got positive early down yards and drove the ball. This isn't because Brock can't beat you in the air. He had a good game. It's because, again, their pass protection is bad. It's the reason all those plays you show didn't work.
The guy has a knack for getting leads in Super Bowls and then losing. Remember when he was offensive coordinator for the Falcons when they had a 28-3 lead against the Patriots? Final score: Patriots - 34, Falcons - 28
Was he the defensive coordinator in Atlanta? For all the b******* and moaning I hear How about your defense come up with a f****** stop? You had the lead.
It’s the same thing as Detroit but Detroit was risky. The players sold. Shanahan didn’t tell CMC to fumble on the first drive or for his team to muff the punt losing the ball and putting KC back in the game
It's too easy to critique coaches when we know how it ended plus it's much easier to be a "great coach" behind a computer screen on Sunday. Clearly Kyle is doing something right to even be in this conversation immediately following the Super Bowl. I'm a Chiefs fan but I fear there's unnecessary dogpiling on the Niners about mistakes/missed opportunities. It was a great game, as billed. Someone has to lose though.
Big shout out to KC defense. The 49ers played great in the 1st half, but KC’s defense still held them to just 10 points. They shut them out in the 3rd, and held firm in the 4th and in OT.
Maybe a hot take but no. The game was won in the trenches by KC; whenever they blitzed Purdy was under fire immediately while Mahomes was practically untouched the entire second half and OT.
Yeah, It definitely wasn't holding on KC so many times. Two super bowls, 88 drop backs, zero holding calls. Can't win if they don't allow the guys to touch Patrick.
Im going to say this again. In Atlanta once Juilo Jones made that catch, by the side line. They couldve ran the clock down on every down and win the game. He decides to run every play with 15 seconds on the clock. My wife is a falcons fan. She cried after the lost. That why i hate their head coach.
He didn’t cause the false starts. He didn’t muff the punt. 3&4 tipped pass at end of game would have been a 1st down and iced the game. Couldn’t have known, so “running” the ball on the down is just hindsight. Players lost this one
u can’t blame anyone but chris jones and patrick mahomes. purdy under a ton of pressure all game and mahomes capitalizing late SF defense didn’t hold up
SHAMnahan play designs & call are Notorious!! SHAM useless "motions" of players running all 5 yrds behind line is Useless Waste of Energy before they even get up to line to attack. Meanwhile the defenders are at line well rested ready to stuffs SHAM players. Then SHAM selection of play calls when come crunch time is Ridiculous
Shanahan has had every convenience. He's got his QB, he's got the stud LT, he's got the superstar back, he's got the loaded defense, he's got the receivers. When you get an int in chiefs territory, the one thing you CAN'T do is go backwards. If you take THREE KNEES, you could kick a long field goal. You CANNOT go freaking EMPTY THREE STRAIGHT TIMES. These play calls, what is the best case scenario? You're not getting an explosive play deep cause their secondary is too good. I think the biggest problem is that Kyle was GASHING the chiefs with cmc before the fumble, and every niners fan knew once that fumble happened, Kyle was going to abandon the run. We ALL KNEW. The guy has become PREDICTABLE
I also thought with out knowing to much that you kick the ball and see what kind of score you need maybe even go for 2 points if they score a touchdown and you want out of the game
Marty Schottenheimer, Marv Levy, Marvin Lewis, Jim Mora, Dan Reeves, Jeff Fisher, Chuck KNOX, Sam Wyche, Kyle Shanahan... Do you keep going with Kyle or do you stop the pain now?
I'm a dolphins fan, so we get McDaniel who is a shanahan disciple and they have the same genetic defect. They do not design enough pass plays to make less than 10yds. The chiefs and other successful offenses frustrate opposing defenses by using the short passing game like a run play, designed to gain a consistent 5-7 yds and make first downs, scoring TDs by long drives, not relying on consistently hitting chunk plays and ending up punting a lot.
Spag outplayed Shanahan. Spag dialed up blitzes that discombobulated the 49ers offense. Shanahan did not prepare his team well enough for Spag's blitzes.
They had to take the ball. The defense was already gassed from the long drive by Mahome at the end of fourth quarter. Mahome would have easily scored a touchdown on a fatigue defense.
@@moneymaker7307 There is an argument for both sides, I just don't think the potential increased likelyhood of a stop was worth giving up the strategic advantage of 2nd possession. Against another team? Maybe. But, not Reid & Mahomes imo.
There is not much of strategic advantage if you believe your defense could prevent a touch down. That defense have done a great job from preventing a touch down drive all through 4 quarters, Other than the play where Mahome capitalized on a muffed punt. Base on how the game was going it make more sense for 49er to receive the ball. If the game was a shootout then I understand kicking ball base on the rules of the game. That decision was made base on analytics.
Game is over, Chiefs won, move on. Get ready for next season. Human behavior is to always seconds guess. You never know what is going to happen on any play, everybody knew this was two very good teams going at it and that either team could win. This game was basically a toss up.
11 passes to Debo and a total of 8 pass attemps to your 2 1,000 lyard recivers cost them the game. Ayiuk and Kittle should have had more plays drawn up. Thats why they lost.
Chris Jones is going to get some much credit for a play where he was basically unblocked. How do you fuck that up San Fran? Don't get me wrong George is a very underrated player among casual fans, but you don't focus on him so much that you barely get a hand on Chris Jones. I mean freeze frame at 8:15 sec into this video and you got Kittle already beaten by George with 58 ready to pick up the slack, as Jones runs unabated to the QB. By the way Reid isn't far behind Jones in getting to the QB or drawing a holding penalty. 58 on the 49ers who was there to pick up the slack on George literally put a single hand on Jones. I don't blame the 49ers for actually seeing George as the main threat, but Jones is still Jones and you can't think you're going to slow him down with one hand.
Remember when SF came to Philadelphia to play in NFC championship 2 years ago, the first play of the game Kyle called a throw for rookie QB….result his QB got arm injured, this is the most stupid play I have seen of my life in 40 years I watched NFL.
Was I in a glitch in the Matrix? I kept seeing the same play over 15-20 times. SF lost because they played it safe. Can't play it safe with Reid and Mahommey on the other side. Cowards don't win the SUperbowl.
Whether the criticism of Shanahan is fair or not it remains that he’s been to 3 Super Bowls and hasn’t won one yet. When a team gets beaten it falls on the coach justifiable or not and he ain’t an elite coach.😮
After half time no run game, no points, bad play calling bad o line play penalties set themselves up for failure. You have to score TDs against Mahomes the end result is what you get

If the Chief's fluke punt that hit the 49er in the foot had been a yard to the right then the 49ers would have maintained possession and the Chief's wouldn't have gotten the TD 2 plays later. That would have changed the game. There is a good deal of luck in football.
Why was Shanahan, the offensive genius so unprepared for the Chiefs blitzing when that's just what they do, why run plays that are actually bad vs blitzing, like a QB rollout, they did that twice in CRUCIAL, crucial plays that would have resulted in TDs, is it hard to call a screen pass, or a jet sweep?. he is trying to get too cute with motioning, again.

@@admiralgree3873Yeah those are the rules for regular season only. For postseason, which changed after 2021-2022 season, give both teams a guaranteed possession. If game clock runs out and one team still hasn’t finished possession, it begins a new “quarter”. If game is still tied after first possessions, then next score wins the game.
he deserves every single shred of criticism. he choked a super bowl up 10+. again. add that in with the choke to the rams and we have a coach that chokes like he’s in a glory hole episode.
He’s doing a fantastic job as a head coach he’ll have his day soon
@@JaneDoey Another armchair expert lol. If the players execute better on one play, the whole conversation changes. Don’t give me “he should have ran.” That’s hindsight bias
Did you see how free chris jones was coming straight at purdy no one even touched him and ayuk was open beat his guy in the middle too in OT. Is this rigged or what that these pros dont block someone like chris jones in such important 3rd down? The nfl just seems so weird to me past two years and last years super bowl was just very strange as well
I'll do you one better. How about 88 drop backs by Mahomes in two Super Bowls with zero holding calls. I got nothing, it seems if you are the darling of the NFL you always get those calls on your sidem
Nah plan bad pass protection
@@Jetsua02 every drive of the OT chiefs oline was probably holding too. But no one blocking chris jones there is just a mind boggling mistake only these niners teams make. But was it really a mistake of that nature or was it riggy
Yeah it’s super obvious, those who rig this stuff are laughing at casuals for not understanding how fake it is, at this point
Hes solely guilty of and responsible for the loss. Fire his azz!
my problem was this is the second superbowl against the chiefs that they had no holding calls against them it happened in 2019 when bosa and buckner was held all game
It’s apart of the game it goes both ways u think 🤔 San Francisco wasn’t getting away with calls hmm yeah right
Kyle is overrated. He chokes so much in big game that they should have a medic ready to give him a heimlich on the sidelines.
Did anybody ever hear Kyle say it was my fault that this team lost after the game?? I think that is the most important being a respected coach.
the special team lose the game for 49ers,two mistake cost them 8 pt in a close game is huge
This clip is a complete waste of viewers' time----no enlightenment whatsoever, just total BS
Keys to the Loss
1. All those early penalties on offence
2. CMC fumble in the 1st quarter
3. That punt reception debacle
4. Shanahan abandons the run for 1.5 quarters and the offence contributes nothing (Shanahan never learns from his own mistakes)
5. The missed point after
6. and didn’t get the TD being on the 5 yard line in overtime
It’s not like the Chiefs “beat” the Niners. The Niners beat themselves!
Niners need to develop a top 5 special teams unit to go with their top 5 offence and defence.
Niners need to invest in the O-Line. Damn I miss Joe Staley. If we could have had Staley AND Williams? Damn!
Niners need to stabilize their Coaching Staff
Purdy can do anything! Stop fumbling in the Red Zone! Stop abandoning the run when the blitz is killing you Kyle (this guy never learns)
Get a reliable f'n kicker!
@@guts7518this isn’t on Brock Purdy
The game was rigged. Did you see the O lineman literally turn to the right and totally ignore Chris Jones, and just pretend to block air? Most obvious fake game I’ve seen
@@guts7518shoutout to mahomes but that man put up 19 points in regulation and only got a touchdown because of a muffed punt. Chris Jones dominated that "no better or worse" oline in key moments stopping 2 wide open touchdowns because that "no better or worse" oline decided to double team someone else instead of the damn best defensive player on the field. That same oline killed momentum on drives with bullshit holding and false start penalties. That chiefs oline stepped up when it mattered most the niners oline didn't. That "game manager" made the correct read every play but had 95 in his chest at the point of release because he either was singled up or flat out went unblocked. McDuffie went unblocked and smoked him as well.
Cause of a muffled punt? I do believe the 49ers only made it to the superbowl cause of a helmet catch against the Lions. And Mahomes made all the right reads besides the pass to Kelce that resulted in an interception although he was trying to tell kelce to go deeper for the 1st down.
It's 4 at this point. The Falcons game counts.
well said..... I agree. he just doesn't have the mo jo....too nervous and what is going on that head ? questions during the game......he stinks in the big games.....stinks....the so called "genius" get an O line...
They keep blaming his QBs both Matt and now Brock but it's Kyle who's the promblem.
@michaelyoung2978 Yea Matt, Jimmy and now Brock have all played well, Matt and Brock better than Jimmy but it's not all 3 of their fault and none of his. Just crazy to me.
Kyles offense sure fails when it really counts in the big games, three times now!
Yes of course he does.
They had the first half then when they came back out after for the 3rd they totally changed up what was working during the first half when the Chiefs could not stop it. If something is working why change it until they prove they can stop it. 3rd quarter was a joke with the crappiest play calling. HE DESERVES ALL THE CRITISM
Also on defense they had 4 and had pressure all first half - then they start blitzing..lol WTH
Kyles offense sure fails when it really counts in the big games, three times now!
It becomes multiple "layers" of crap in crunchtime.
The 49ers needed to spread their players out much wider, use more motion as well, to try and throw off the Chiefs, who seemed to be able to pick up the plays the 49ers were about to run.
ten points is not a big lead
If chiefs had that lead 49ers should just go home already.
It’s all hindsight bias, especially that 3rd & 4 late in the 4th qtr. If they run & get stuffed, now what? “Just go for it on fourth down.” Well, if that fails then those same people would question the decision to not take the go ahead field goal lol.
Shanahan chokes again
Head coach is responsible
Failure coach Kyle strikes again 0-3 in Super Bowl finals having had leads in all 3..
If you get the ball 2nd in overtime from behind, you get 4 throws instead of 3 and a greater likelihood of scoring a touchdown.
@@mvpfocus I'd say go for it on 4th and goal from inside the 5 yard line if you're facing Mahomes. Otherwise, I'd just take a fg, or punt from outside fg range, and pray for a stop by the defense.
Niners muffed punt and missed PAT amounted to 8 point difference.
Chris jones mentioned how the chiefs and andy reid had throughly gone over the playoff ot rules as early as training camp which definitely points to reid being more prepared than kyle for the ending of that game
kyle is a coward and stubborn coach he never try to go for it on 4th down
Yes, but it has to do with his, and Lynch's, failure to build a championship-caliber O-line.
Also, if Greenlaw was in for that last drive it might have turned out differently.
seem like kyle think 10 point lead is enough after that kyle never really try to score anymore
The 49ers shit the bed. LOL 😆😆😆😆
Shanahan shat the bed, any good coach destroys the chiefs with that team, dude is a fucking fraud
Shannahan's issue as a head coach is the draft not Xs and Os.
P.S.
The TD was illegal man downfield
He didn't go down field until after CMC caught it. It was legal.
And also, in SB 54 in the 4th quarter, he had a 20-10 and still lost
Was he the defensive coordinator in Atlanta? For all the b******* and moaning I hear How about your defense come up with a f****** stop? You had the lead.
What is SF #68 doing on play @3:00?
That why i hate their head coach.
lmfao
I don’t blame you lol
Same old 49ers 😂😂😂
He didn’t cause the false starts. He didn’t muff the punt. 3&4 tipped pass at end of game would have been a 1st down and iced the game. Couldn’t have known, so “running” the ball on the down is just hindsight. Players lost this one
u can’t blame anyone but chris jones and patrick mahomes. purdy under a ton of pressure all game and mahomes capitalizing late SF defense didn’t hold up
Why is the (blocked) extra point not counted on any videos as a reason they lost to the Chiefs??
Yes. Absolutely. The defense played well, but the offense was pedestrian.
Kyle Levy
I think Shanashit is hurting us obviously. But when are we also gonna acknowledge the defensive coordinator? My god he is terrible
Did we watch the same game? The defense was dominant all night.
The loss of Greenlaw didn’t help the D.
The guy has become PREDICTABLE
kyle is a field goal lover .49ers gonna wasted another season wirh kyle
I also thought with out knowing to much that you kick the ball and see what kind of score you need maybe even go for 2 points if they score a touchdown and you want out of the game
Simple answer: YES!
49ers need quarterback that could run like a gorilla
Just look at the blocking scheme when the 49ers were on the 7 in OT. Chris Jones left unimpeded to Purdy. He is to blame for that EVER happening
As opposed to him easily scoring a TD on a "rested" defense?
@@MikeHarvey-ol7xr but a rested defense had a better chance of stopping him. They almost stopped him twice.
A touch pass to CMAC might’ve gotten the first down on that OT play.
Kyle called for a trick pass and touched down, credit to the coach
Good breakdown
Whether the criticism of Shanahan is fair or not it remains that he’s been to 3 Super Bowls and hasn’t won one yet. When a team gets beaten it falls on the coach justifiable or not and he ain’t an elite coach.😮
Oh boy, here come the speculation train barrelin' down the tracks. Look out folks, no warning bells at the crossing.
10 is not a big lead though.
After half time no run game, no points, bad play calling bad o line play penalties set themselves up for failure. You have to score TDs against Mahomes the end result is what you get
He followed the script!
No, we aren't critizising because he lost we are critizising because he wanted to throw the ball when it wasnt necessary. When CMC was rolling. They get into the redzone and suddenly throw the ball multiple times. You have the BEST running back. Inside of 10yards... RUN THE FUCKING BALL.
Biggest mistake was thinking you have a QB who can make plays purdy had half his completion to the RB and FB
it does Not matter what 49ers do in OT as SHAMnahan will call plays to get 3-pts kick...if you don't notice that by now...Loser SHAM
THIS IS ALL ON KYLE “GOOFEY” SHANNAHAN!!!
OT should have never happened in the first place. 4QT. 1:57 at the Chiefs 35. They have two time outs! Forth Down Territory! 3rd and 4. PASS???
You run the ball. They have 1:27. 4th and 1. You get it it’s game over, drain the clock make the field goal with less than 20 seconds. 🤦🏾♂️ THATS MADDEN SHIT!!!!!
HAD THEM RIGHT WHERE YOU NEEDED TO WIN!!! AND SAT THERE AND THREW THE BALL OVER RUNNING IT!!!
HE IS THE BIGGEST QUESTION MARK OF TGE WHOLE TEAM!!!
CMAC had to do too much on the overtime drive and their drive stalled because he had to come out.
he kept the ball from his two best players a good portion of the game (george kittle and christian mccaffrey). thats simply inexcusable. despite that, the 49ers get the ball on the coin flip in OT. literally all you have to do is get christian and kittle the ball and you win the super bowl. its so obvious how much KS overthinks things. If you havent noticed that by now after him blowing THREE, count em, THREE 10+ point super bowl leads, i dunno when youre gonna figure it out.
Bro what killing me is I saw no play action🤷♂️ KC wanted to stop the run why not use that to your advantage? Kyle living off his father’s name and his father only won when they got TD
Don’t blame Brock Purdy he completed 2 out of 13 3rd downs the whole entire game!!
That’s less than 1 per quarter
49ers 3rd down comp 3-13
Maybe the Chief's punter should have been the MVP
No matter the score your man Kyle will find a way to loose ! Then the next time they play another game more smoke and mirrors about how great this phony team is. They were lucky to beat Green Bay and Detroit !
Joe Feliciano would have blocked Chris jones at RG but he got hurt and fucken Spencer Bradford fucken blew his blocking assignment. We could’ve have scored if felicano was there sense up till injury was having a pretty good game(pass protection wise)
I’m sorry dude, but wtf is this analysis? The issue isn’t Kyle’s play design it’s his play CALLS. He lost his nerve when Spagnuolo loaded the box, and got scared away from the run. We lost the game right there.
How about just playing legit defense in OT...
It doesn't matter who wins the coin toss if legit defense is played...
Now imagine dealing with this play calling all year long…jalen hurts isn’t impressed
CMC has 3 runs for 30 yards and 19 for 50 barley 2 yards a carry the cheifs was blowing up our backfield all game run or pass i understand why we didn’t run it as much I understand why Baltimore wouldn’t run it the cheifs d line was dominating and it makes it hard for anything to work
