    Hey Daniel. 2 questions. So I'm starting to really apply the points you make in Set It & Forget It. I usually never liked looking at screens before bed or when I wake up, but I was able to turn off the time on my computer so I won't know when I wake up, and I watch Netflix now. I also do a bunch of other things when I can't sleep that I enjoy. I know you recommend waking up at the same time every morning regardless of how someone slept, but if I'm doing all these things and not being afraid of staying awake, when I do fall asleep, doesn't it make sense to let your body sleep as long as it wants? I've thought about my purpose of doing that, and the thought of chasing sleep hasn't popped up, just giving myself the reward of befriending wakefulness. The only "downside" is that I'd be spending more time in bed, since I don't get out of bed anymore when I'm doing the things I enjoy at night. Could use your advice on that.
    Next question is about the curtains. I no longer use dark curtains, but the ones I got in replacement allow a lot of sunlight to come in the room. Not sure if it's a sleep effort or not by adding another curtain on top of this one just so that the sun doesn't wake me really early. I'm 50/50 on this because I only put the second curtains up at night, and I guess it could be considered a sleep effort since I'm adding another curtain so that I can spend less time awake. On the other hand, acknowledge that I did that but don't really think about it too much after. Maybe I should just commit to one curtain, and whatever happens happens?

      Hi Nathan!
      So glad you’re making some changes and thanks for the support.
      I’d say this:
      If we sleep in and think - “I gotta make up for lost sleep!” this is chasing sleep and can create struggle. If we think “oh I think I’ll stay in bed an snooze cause I like it” then 0 issues.
      For blinds - I think honesty is what matters. Are we doing this in an attempt to try to chase sleep or, we just like it. Same thing as the above really!

      You sound like such a thoughtful person, I’m sure you’ll find the best solution for YOU to your curtain conundrum. Btw, ever notice how the verb TO BE is almost always irregular…? 😮
