@ Jank Paul - I hope they don't ever die. For the majority of vehicle owners, the sedan is more practical.
Currently, auto sales don't support that notion, however. I look at most SUV's drivers (and pickups) next
to me on the road an can only think that they are victim to marketing tactics. You know, the "I NEED a
SUV mentality". Long live the sedan!
I actually like the TRD Avalon. Don’t really care for the wing on the Camry, but still better than some like Civic Type R (in terms of appearance).
The Camry’s wing look hideous and the fact that’s on a Camry is even worst but in all black should look better. The Type R’s wing makes the ugly Civic hatchback styling look way better than without it.

I think the only reason they both don't have the same spoiler is to sway more mature buyers more towards the more expensive Avalon : P

I have an avalon trd and I'm eventually putting the camry trd spoiler on mine.
Love both cars. The Camry TRD should have been based off the XSE like the Avalon TRD.

Swee Shu look at the taillights and the side view. Definitely an Avalon. Also the Camry doesn’t have a C pillar window. The Avalon also has no raised rear spoiler.
No ECU tune? Should include a super charger.

And I would swap out the trunk for a XSE trunk. TRD spoiler just not for me.

lotus just cuts half the weight and improves handling. they never add much power
@@CoelhoSports tell that to the Evora 400 with the Toyota sourced, supercharged V6. Granted Lotus does more than just slap on go fast parts.
Or even TRD..in Australia we got a supercharged version of the V6 in the Aurion. It's basically our version of the Avalon.

I personally would buy a V6 XSE then upgrade all those performance part myself on my own even though it'll be more expensive.

Heard the 2020 Camry was suppose to finally include Android Auto, did anyone check if it was?
Also did they improve, reprogram or update the 8-speed auto transmission? Lots of complaints online about it.
Android Auto is coming in 2020 for the Camry it's been confirmed
probably not on the TRD models yet, will have to wait for the regular models to come out
For the road test you guys used a clip of two camry's the red and a black Camry. It wasn't an Avalon. I'm sure you reviewed the Avalon as well but the clip was a black Camry.

I just want to be able to add that TRD exhaust as an option on the XSE V6. I don’t like the idea of spending 30k for a stripped-down sedan.

Both black and red were camrys. Both had the same front bumpers and both had the same rear wings. Not the track portion but the street

yeah toyota needs to be careful not to compete with lexus models like some land cruiser and lexus models. i know toyota is in nascar but in GT and other racing circuits (like monterey today) they use the lexus brand.

I don't think that was paint flaking off. If you look closely, especially at the R it is where there is a structural point in the badge. I think that is to keep the badge together as one.

Regarding the back end of the Camry TRD, if I want a shelf for knick-knacks I'll put one up at home. ;-)
I like Camry better styling, I'd take the Avalon over it fell in loved with the Avalon at first thought was just boring now a nice car for the money but still want the regular Avalon instead TRD version did like on second generation Tundra having colored rear bumpers both of these cars are great for the money.

Kush Patel performance includes power. This ain’t corona stricken China or Japan where gas prices are $8 a gallon.
U can put a turbocharger or supercharger on your engine if u want more hp. Turbocharger is better because it's not actual hooked onto your engine like a supercharger is so it'll never damage your engine
I love the Camry tdr but I will never see one or able to buy one in Germany and the wing is my dream spoiler
Idk why but the Avalon TRD looks really nice.
At low speed, no spoilers work. FWD cars need rear spoilers more than RWD, due to front heavy weight bias. Everyone wants to get close to 50/50, and rear where FWD cars need more downforce at high speeds. Don't get torque steer / wheel spin on power confused with aerodynamic downforce please.

Accord should take the 2.0 turbo make the suspension and tires a tad bit more track worthy, and slap an Si badge on it to compete with the TRD

I own an Avalon TRD and I'm sad to say that the 2.0 touring is quicker off the line.
Thing I find weird is I can get a Lexus ES350 for less money because of incentives and lower interest rate at the Lexus dealer.

I like the Avalon TRD but at $12000 more than the Camry TRD, it's pushing really close to the ES350 price. Lexus actually has better incentives so you're probably not going to pay more than $1000-$2000 more for an ES350 F-Sport!
Like I'm debating on whether to get the Avalon Touring or a ES350 F Sport because this trd version is not sporty at all the touring looks much more sporty and a cleaner design and if there is no actual mechanical changes then I'll stick to the regular Avalon because this TRD is not sporty at all may be nice if they were to add a AWD drivetrain and a more powerful v6 than I would buy one.
The TRD is more sporty than the touring. Test drove both. Bought the TRD. Handles better. Also a very tad bit quicker most likely due to the aero kit and the cat back exhaust system. Stiffened suspension is more bumpy in the TRD but by no means is it uncomfortable. Still feels very close to how an Avalon should. And this is just my personal opinion but I think the TRD looks leagues better than the touring due to the lowered height and aero kit.
I cant stop thinking of buying a 2020 Avalon TRD and trade in our 2017 Outback... I'm coming back here if that happens.

I own the all blk 2019 Toyota Avalon V6 XSE it is such a sweet ride, nothing like my 07 Avalon. Just wish Toyota would get with the freakin program and update so I can have Android Auto on my Avalon already.

I want an Avalon
Hopefully the next-generation TRD will have 350+ HP to compete with the ACURA TLX TYPE S. Especially since they are discontinuing the AVALON all together (which 2022 will be a CLASSICAL GEM 💎 2 decades from now, it being an iconic 👏 underrated vehicle since its debut. I think all configurations will be worthwhile in terms of investment) WITH THAT SAID it'll get replaced by something related to the IS/ES. I don't see the AVALON being more of a ES, I thought it was more of a GS until they discontinued that model (LEXUS) AND THE NEW COROLLA GAZOO RACING 🏁 VARIANT IS SAID TO HAVE 300HP. LET'S WAIT TO SEE.
Toyota believes that the new Avalon is for those who believe that 60 is the new 40. The TRD version is apparently feel that 60 is the new 36. :) As for the Camry, the current generation was already a vast improvement over its predecessors. The TRD version only adds to that.

The TRD isn't AWD. the Avalon AWD only comes in the 2.4L power train.

Camry XSE headlights are better then the TRD, hands down. And the red leather interior, with a panoramic roof.

If u can get the TRD Camry for 15%-20% off MSRP like on the Camry SEs, but that is highly unlikely right now. Then this might be one of the cheaper 6 cylinder new cars u can get on the market. I still can't ignore how ugly that wing is though.

I love the Camry and the Avalon, but come on already. You cannot look fast and not go fast. Just put the 5.7L V8 in the Camry or TRDs already. You can supercharge them then. Watch how many Camrys sell.
