Parent Trap is one of those films that you'd think is not that good but when you actually sit down and watch it, it's a really good film with a lot of heart.
_Disturbing Behavior_ was yet another victim of studio interference 😒
ive never watched this remake but i loved the original parent trap when i was a kid in the very early 80s. but even then i always thought it was really REALLY messed up the concept that these people divorced and both took a twin and never let them know they had a god damn twin. how can you have a wholesome family film that has that as part of the plot.
I agree if that was real life that'd be horrible and sound like an episode of the Maury Povich show. Like a lot of movies though you kind of just have to go with the premise and turn your brain off.
Siskel's gaze was completely out of focus and it showed how deeply ill he was 😔
Seeing these clips of him in 98/99 make me sad.
Gene sends his love guys:)
In his last two seasons, you can see the peaks and valleys Siskel's illness took him on. On those off weeks, his cadence and how he articulated his thoughts were curtailed, as if they didn't come to him quick enough. But, I'd disargree this particular show was one of those sessions. Beside the illness on his face, he keeps the pace with Roger well here and it's a very lively discussion.
Saving Private Ryan is my all time favorite film and that scene where Hanks gives the speech is my favorite. The whole scene starting from before they go in is great. "Captin I just don't have a good feeling about this one." "Whens the last time u felt good about anything?" Then Wade dies and they are all full of emotion. Then when the German guy is saying everything American he knows. Also, "Fuck Hiiitlerrrr." Then the exchange between Size more and Burns. "You heard him gear up. The captain just gave you an order." Then of course Tom's speech. Brilliant scene.
I prefer Catch Me If You Can:)
You need to watch more films, buddy.
@@ricardocantoral7672 lol. Really? Me or him.
@@goldentaco4970 Saving Private Ryan is vapid crap.
@@ricardocantoral7672 That statement demonstrates you aren't able to recognize quality movie making. Killer Klowns from Outer Space is probably more up your alley.
Psycho: Collector's Edition was made in honor of the remake coming out a few months later
Mafia! probably was a mediocre parody movie, but they discussed enough jokes they liked at the end that have made me curious to check it out.
It's awful.
I'm Hella curious if they're gonna talk about LiLo having a big future in the movies 🙊
"This is not a movie for children"
My fifth grade history teacher played that shit in our class when it hit dvd.
I prefer Platoon,DePalma's Casualties Of War,Malick's The Thin Red Line to Ryan. That beach scene is searing & horrific, though:)
Saw Psycho& The Birds on the Big Screen Last Halloween:)
I actually prefer Flags of Our Fathers (which I did watch first) to Saving Private Ryan.
Ryan was the best film of 1998 and should've won Best Picture.
i thought the beginning scenes in Enemy at the Gates was more harrowing than Private Ryan.
The Parent Trap is great but the kid scenes so cringe like no sh*t sherlock yall twins!!!!! And for the parents to not know cmon now but the Nanny and Butler stole the movie lol RIP Natasha
I watched Disturbing Behavior last night and I agree with Roger, everything is set up for a hit and it kind of fails to deliver. That being said, the studio is at fault for cutting everything that was meaningful. It went from 115 minutes, with tons of emotional scenes, to an 84 minute generic thriller.
Not to mention also cutting a lot of exposition which actually made the plot makes sense. Back when I worked at Blockbuster, I used to get free rentals, and eventually, I worked my way down the line from movies that I wanted to see to movies. I was only partially interested in after a couple of beers. Any deleted scene on the disturbing behavior DVD contained exposition which explained the whole plot. It’s like they were so scared of the moving not being able to play in more theaters because it was too long that they decided to actually take out loadbearing expositions scenes.
@@littlekingtrashmouth9219 It sucks, cause that movie LOOKS really cool. They put a lot of effort into the vibe and aesthetic and then dropped the ball on the plot.
Saving Private Ryan 👍🌟🌟🌟🌟
I'm surprised I never got it on VHS or DVD.
some one should send edited vesion of the last few mins of this to hollywood about remaking excellent films.
"Remake flawed films."
"Remake trivial films.... If it works, don't fix it."
Psycho was one of the few black & white films I watched and remember.
Disturbing Behavior was like a fun Lifetime movie

I preferred Saving Primate Ryan.
They pretty much got what went wrong with Disturbing Behavior, it was a very bland take on the idea ... except I thought it was often both bland and annoying.
Saving Private Ryan is nothing special outside of the opening D-Day invasion. Also, Band of Brothers sucks.
Ricardo, you're so different, and thus, special.
Everyone wants to be like you.
