Aaaah Siskel's back:)If only Life were like this:)
Siskel would have loved Batman Begins and The Dark Knight
They liked all the movies! Yay! 😍
🙌👏✌🤙👍
"Bound" was awesome !
Rewatched it about a month ago-holds up well! One could never predict the filmmakers would go on to produce ambitious bloated sci-fi epics with very mixed results
👍🌟🌟🌟
I used to watch these guys way back in the day🕺Love Gene and Roger
Seems all 5 movies here are great to see 👍⭐⭐⭐⭐ which is terrific 👌, I'm glad they agree all.
You better believe it brother 🕺

Just seen that thing you do from Netflix & I liked it, comic entertainment 👍🌟🌟🌟🌟
Gene’s thing for Gina Gershon resurfaces in this ep LOL
Who didn't have a thing for Gina Gershon back in those days?
@@kensmith2796 She is so sexy and alluring. Pure sex oozes from her
R.I.P. Alan Rickman.
Bound literally was literally released on my birthday 10/04/96. Yes I loved it. Even more than The Matrix.
Was it literally?
Michael Collins and If These Walls Could Talk are good movies.
Don't forget Bound, terrific movie 👍🌟🌟🌟🌟
@@Jbaxter85 Thanks, but I haven't seen Bound.
The theme song for For That Thing You Do was written by Adam Schlesinger, lead singer of Fountains of Wayne.
Ebert on Richard Feynman getting his due regard: "It's not going to happen on cable either, I think it'll happen on the internet if it happens anywhere." Well, he wasn't wrong...
Rerun or not Siskel & Ebert was a show that aired every weekend.
No mention of Joey Pants in the Bound review?!? Yes the ladies are talented and incredibly sexy but Pantliano stole every scene-not easy considering the leads!
What I leave about so many of Joey Pants performances are how he is so good at the being the perfect foil, usually a bad one. However, he never tries to steal the others actors spotlight or charisma from shining & he has it as well to make you feel at times he can be trusted when he’s a lying or deceiving character
I'm a bit surprised "Michael Collins" wasn't even nominated for Oscars in the acting department because this was the big era for historical dramas cleaning up at the Academy Awards (and in an egregious oversight, Alan Rickman was somehow never nominated for an Academy Award). Julia Roberts's role was so minor she could've been removed and it really wouldn't have made a difference. I think WB wanted more of her which is why it isn't made clear in the film that De Valera didn't order Collins assassination. In the 80s Michael Cimino was attached to write and direct until it was taken out of his hands. I sometimes wonder what he could've done with someone to rein him in if he tried going Heaven's Gate on it.
12:33 "...it'll happen on the internet" Internet? What's that, said most people back then. Some 1996 US internet stats:
In 1996, Americans spent about 30 minutes per month on the internet.
In 1996, the average page-load time was about 30 seconds.
In 1996, about 22% of the general public said they went online from work, school, or home.
During the 1996 presidential campaign, about 4% of the public went online for news about the election.
Sure the internet is still around today and slightly more popular, but I'm betting it'll just be a fad.
2 thumbs up for Michael Collins, a likely Oscar nominee for Liam Neeson as the forgotten fighter of independence and freedom in the troubled island of Ireland. Juila Roberts is OK but she's a little bit of a distraction on what could've been a more stronger film.

Hard to believe Liam Neeson went on to play Qui-Gon Jinn after this. Yeesh.
1996 also had Citizen Ruth, which is a much better movie about abortion politics and also a good dramedy.
Bound, the only good movie the Wachoski brothers ever made
I didnt see "That Thing You Do" until recently and I found it tedious. I may have appreciated it more when it was new, and I was a little more wide-eyed and bushy tailed.
No, I saw it on TV a year or two after it came out - and I was 22- and it was tedious.
The credit goes to Tom Hanks because he wrote and directed the movie and it is great.
Bound HOT!!!
