@@LawnLads pretty good few spots that I went a little heavy on that should be back to full coverage in another week or so was hoping to core this weekend but rain has killed that
What’s the best way to recover a high traffic/mower turn point area? Just to put less traffic on it and get it grow? Or is the idea to keep cutting it to encourage more lateral growth?
Hey mate, Try keeping traffic off that area until it recovers. Cutting it will encourage sideways growth, which will help quicker recovery. Is the area compacted? If so aerating will help. Good luck mate 🤙🏽
@@LawnLads it’s maybe a 2x2m area of buffalo lawn that has previously been very thick/dense and just got thinner over cold sydney winter… I have aerated it well with a garden fork. I assume cutting frequent now that it’s spring + granular fert will help it thicken up again. I reckon it will thicken as long as we get the warm weather, u think?
Yeah mate 100%. All warm season lawns will thin out in winter if they don’t get enough sun light. It’s normal. Once it starts getting more sun and wakes up, it should fill in very quick.
@@LawnLads Ah ok excellent. Relief. Into my 2nd year now and hoping to do my 2nd year of top dress. I’m happy to know it will fill in provided the weather warms up. Cheers lads. Love the channel
