Being a Brit and not really knowing much about IMSA over the years and coming from f1. Touring cars etc. endurance racing is really one of the best out there especially IMSA. The mix of short and long distance races and the closeness of the racing have been a joy to watch this season. An absolutely brilliant series that is on the up and up
Quick fact about this race, this Petit Le Mans Edition will feature a Partial Solar Eclipse during the race at around 2:00PM EST Time. The Sun will get covered at around 60% of its regular light so there will be a momentary darkness on the track which will definitely catch some drivers off.
It being my home track, I am so excited to go this year. Ive also raced the track as well in Spec Miata, and may I tell you, the first time I drove it I was terrified of 11-12 because of the stories my dad would tell me back when I was younger. (im 18 now).
This season is coming down to the wire. Road Atlanta is the perfect track for the season finale. Have you seen the recently released footage of the Alpine LMDh?
The race has been wild so far. The only images and footage I've seen of the Alpine are a livery free car testing at Circuit Paul Ricard.@@offintheesses
An update info, it's gonna be 7 cars in LMP3 class instead of 8 because the number 33 Sean Creech Motorsports decided to withdraw its entry in Petit Le Mans due to Lance Willsey's familiy emergency case.
IMSA needs to clean up their driving standards. It's really clear after this race. Some of the same cars racing in WEC but being way better behaved there because Freitas doesn't put up with anyone's bullshit.
important to note that this race featured 15+ more cars than a typical WEC race has, the increased traffic caused a bunch of problems for drivers and led to more FCY. I agree that driver standards still needs to be improved but it's a bit difficult to compare the two series like that imo
Blah, I think P2 cars cause more crashes than P3 cars, and bigger, more costly ones it that. But P3 cars do dumber stuff... And, OMG way too many yellow flags. About to hit 15 cautions now. What the... Action Express none gets penalized... What a joke. They crush any and everyone on the track and never get penalized.

The 2024 Alpine looks like a mix of the Cadillac and Accura.

One of the modern classics of motorsport, right up there with races like the Bathurst 12 hrs and 24 hrs of Dubai. Can't wait to see this one!

Love this track (might be a little bias it’s my home track) but regardless can’t wait to see this race!!
Road Atlanta is one of the good old school tracks. I feel the same way about my home track Road America.
