This song has the feeling of standing at a threshold and knowing that when you cross it, the life you used to have will be gone, and it's sad but also you're at peace because it's inevitable and you've accepted it. Or maybe I'm just high?
Yeah totally, a "this is it" song, but not like an ending, or a good bye; more like an awakening, the reveal of the ultimate "truth"... (I'm definetly high)
I've been hearing this song for the last 2 weeks thinking it was a song I've heard forever, from Interpol maybe, happy this sound is still being kept up and still staying fresh to me. Like the "post rock" or whatever they call it now I listened to in high school and since
i got a real oceanic post-punk/new wave vibe from this. like the church (th-cam.com/video/x6Mx5xKOMAk/w-d-xo.html ) or big electric cat (th-cam.com/video/r7REhcB2iCY/w-d-xo.html )
cbmira01yt These guys are masters at writing melodies in odd meters, the intro/chorus section is in 13/8, the vocals start on the upbeat of each measure. On the verses and bridge it switches to 8/8.
essa música marcou o momento mais legal da minha vida, da juventude plena, livre, fresca e bela, porém momento que vivi cercado de uma espécie de depressão horrorosa, pontual e horrorosa.
My Girlfriend just attempted suicide two days ago. I saw it happen. Everyone blames me for it and I thought we were happy. As of right now I don’t know if we will get back together. I keep listening to this song.

This comment hurts. I dont handle change that well.

no the song is that good, it has levelled up your thinking
this song makes me feel like i should let go of something i cant live without, and it makes me feel sad but free
I've seen this band live twice now and they blow me away each time. Honestly my favorite band of recent years

I love all three singles that were released, and the album did not
disappoint me. I officially love this band now. 8/10. Hell yes.
The world was still shitty when this song came out, but this song made it worth it to be alive.
If I ever participated in producing something so beautiful as this I think I'd be pretty pleased with myself.
I want to marry that riff.
oo Türk buldum
@Distortion Drums bless you, i thought it was in 9's but i was too drunk to figure it out.
Another Alberta band was doing this sort of thing 15 years or so before. They were called the Floor and the album to check out is Personnel
For me is enough learn it on guitar and play it again and again... Long live post punk ❤️
As bayrakları as
I've always heard the disarray part as "It's in your head" and I think I'm going to keep doing that.
I feel like this will be their most accessible album yet, and I'm totally okay with that. Good stuff.
I’m fine with that too. They’re capable of writing catchy songs as well as long epic tracks.
I can confirm, this is the song that recently made me discover Preoccupations :)
This is absolutely fucking amazing! It’s like all the different genres of music I love mashed up into one beautiful desolate dream world.
There are tons of joy division-esque bands around. Some nail the essence, some are simply awful. These people nail it. And it's beautiful.

Preoccupations and Beach House/Twilight Singers/Afghan Whiggs are my drift off to sleep favorites. This is a beautiful track.
This song makes me feel really bad. I don't want to listen to it, but i'm tempted to, 'cause it's also one of the best i've ever heard.
This may be the most beautiful video on TH-cam. Wonderfully edited and rotoscoped.
One of the best bands playing today...this track proves it
Love Ruffmercy's visual style!
So far I've only seen their work on rap videos, it's cool to see them branching out.
He also did video for DIIV for their song The Spark
Strong Interpol vibes going in ... Nontheless great music

"Disarray" debuted at #13 on the New Alternative 40 Chart this week:

I feel I am in another dimension. THIS SONG IS EPIC.
They just nail it every time for me... best video since silhouettes 😘
Wouldn’t it be fantastic if all of the songs of the new album had their own video as great as this one and Antidote?
I'm so glad you guys are releasing new music. You have something special.
That riff is taking me places, fine stuff.
this could be playing in the background of my world forever and i'd be ok with that
One of my favorite songs, one of my favorite music videos 😌
This has got an 'Interpol' vibe. Nice!
Sounds really 80 s post punkish!(that's a good thing)
I can't describe how much I lov this music
BEAUTIFUL WORK!!! both music and video, congrats to everyone involved
My favorite track of the album
When my setup gets working, this 'll be the first riff I'm going to reproduce. 303 style :) ffs such a good rfif, such a bloody good riff.
It makes me think to "Interpol" I love this post punk style....a good Band coming from Viet cong

Reminds me of their guitar-centric stuff on Cassette

Must be my favorite album this year
Une oeuvre d'art cette vidéo, j'adore
I'd love to know what's going on with the rhythm in this song. His vocals seem somehow to come in on a syncopation?

Wow, wasn't expecting a pretty song from Preoccupations! I love it.
3 days, can't wait
everything that has a post punk/shoegaze vibe to it already has my heart
ruhun derinliklerinde dolaşma saati.

96.5 The buzz in Kansas City brought me here!!..
Listen Longer!...Which DJ spun it?
had these kind of walks 'o plenty
Beautiful !
Argentina los espera
just great
A Flock of Seagulls + Big Country + Killing Joke = Preoccupations
I hear Pychedelic Furs in the voice...sounds like it could be one of their new songs. And Interpol too!
Yep...that pretty much nails it. I wish they were more Bronski Beat + Simple Minds + Talk Talk you know, like Future Islands
Almost any late-70s/early-80s new wave group = Preoccupations
You hear Paul Reynolds to huh? 👍🏻
Jarvis Cocker springs to mind as well
Très beau!
Beautiful
Mad fer it !!!
This is great
Probably the the most honest attempt at an 80's 2K amalgam .
Muito bom!
Amazing 🖤
I wish this song would never end repeat again and again and again🤡🧠👤
Love it
god I love yall
I’m a fan
My Girlfriend just attempted suicide two days ago.
I saw it happen. Everyone blames me for it and I thought we were happy. As of right now I don’t know if we will get back together.
I keep listening to this song.
Does anyone else hears the Disarray, disarray, disarray as It's the way, It's the way, It's the way ?
Cool!!!
10/10
Promising.
YES!
I didn't like the last couple of singles but i fuckin' love this one! New atmosphere, new melodies, new ideas, great job Preocc!
Espionage is the best single. Bar none. The whole album is great.
Agreed Carla. Fuck this guy for dissing Preoccupations.
❤
