Family movies suck
I commented this on another reactors reaction of this:
I was worried if it was going to be straight intense. But the dialog is very Evil Dead. The line about being a good mother, the "Mommy's with the maggots now.", the big ole kiss door scene. Also! The more hopeless atmosphere makes total sense. Ash was so used to fighting the deadites, that him being comedic and nonchalant was understandable. This is a normal family dealing with the deadites, naturally it's going to be far scarier.
Ash was a pansy in the original ED - biggest wuss in the group. His zero to hero tale is the only thing the original had going for it.
@@Tantalus010 Well...yes. Would you react calmly to everything going on the first time experiencing it? Especially this particular situation. But he had a chance to get used to it all and fight them.
@@silverstorynost never thought about his change in the two sequels like that, definitely makes sense. though, it did still kill the vibe that the first evil dead had, that movie was in no way comedic and it seems the second and third just took way over the top way too fast.
If you ever have a chance to watch the 2013 Evil Dead movie you definitely should! It’s one of the better horror remakes to be done
One of the few cases where I'd recommend the remake over the original.

Awe I felt so bad for Beth, this movie looks like it would mess her up. haha yeah very unsettling and creepy trailer for sure, has the vibes of the 2013 remake. If you guys haven't seen that oh you should totally react to it, I think it would prepare Beth for this movie haha. I just wanted to give Beth a little Teddy Bear to hold after that trailer🤣🧸

PLEASE do reactions to the other Evil Dead movie trailers. It’s a great series and Evil Dead 2 is my favorite movie of all time (2nd favorite is the Princess Bride, and 3rd is John Carpenter’s The Thing).
Army of Darkness’ trailer in particular is so great and has the best tagline in the world that they didn’t use as the main one.
Can’t recommend enough!

Then the reboot set

Best representation of a "Comedy-Horror Movie" since Gremlins. (Army of Darkness) Stranger Things was never my cup of tea, but i have High hopes for this here
Yeah I don't think this has any comedy. The 2nd Evil Dead of the original is still the best of the series. Though the remake is still pretty damn good too.

This movie was hilarious to watch at school hahaha 😂 especially the part with the cabin in the woods at the intro, the Cgi fake head that flew out of the water and the shit title card at the back of the first deadite possessed woman who floats above the water just killed immersion 🤣
Saw it in theaters and it was terrifying! Definitely the scariest Evil Dead film yet, in my opinion. The film was just as great as the trailer. Downright nightmarish and intense!
Regardless of the original Evil Dead or the comedy/horror change that Evil Dead 2 taken for the franchise, The Evil Dead Franchise is one of the greatest horror franchises ever made.
I also find that I have to close my eyes at least once while watching some horror movies (that scene with her eating the glass is one of those things I won't be able to watch)
When I saw that this was posted, I thought to myself "oh bless their souls; that's a really extreme trailer."

How in the heck did they transfer the scroll readings on a 33 rpm vinyl record ? If they did it during the process, wouldn`t that give license for the demon to roam the Earth again ?
Oh. My. God. I've watched all 5 of the Evil Dead movies, didn't watch the series Ash vs Evil Dead cuz 2015-18 was a very busy and dark period of my life, but holy shit, this movie might be the first one that I will be going to the theaters to see since, I don't know, Logan was the last movie I saw in theaters I guess? My God it looks beautiful.
I still think the original 3 movies and the tv sries starring Bruce Campbell as Ash are by far the best in the series. It leans more to the side of comedy and slasher than actual horror but I think thats ere the charme of the series lies. I highly recommend checking them out. Technically you can even skip the first part beacuase part 2 is a "sort-of-remake" of that story.
I wouldn't skip the movie that started this franchise.

It's been out for a while now but a movie you might like is called "before I wake" 😁
Well, if you check out the entirety of the Evil Dead series (The Evil Dead (1982), Evil Dead II (1987), Army of Darkness (1992), Evil Dead (2013) and then Ash vs. The Evil Dead (2015)) and you can handle the 2013 reboot? You should be able to handle this new one!
ngl though, it's like they looked at 2013 and said "not brutal enough" and pushed the envelope even further, lol.
The main question i have is why those eggs were just sitting on the counter and weren't being refrigerated.

Evil Dead reactions and RWBY reactions at the same time would be amazing. And if you do end up reacting to them, make sure to watch the show after the movies, as well as the 2013 "remake". It's not actually a remake, but the continuity of the film is really confusing and is subject to change upon the release of the new film, so everyone just refers to it as a remake.

Evil Dead does body horror well. It's gratuitous, but not overdone. It makes you feel the right amount of discomfort. The demon(s) in the franchise are known as Deadites and they are about as evil, no pun intended, as you can get.

This new movie seems like it's in the same vibe as the 2013 remake (no Ash Williams though, but still it's a really good remake, i highly recommend it) where it's mainly horror, satanic and gory and brutal XD so prepare yourself haha
