As an Aussie I went to Puerto Madryn in Patagonia for an Aluminium Smelters conference in 2001 it was a really nice place. Our hosts took us on trips out to the Valdez Peninsular, whale watching even to a sheep station that had a strong link to Australia as they had originally imported their sheep from there. The food, the wine the people all are fond memories for me the thing that stood out with the weather was that although pleasant it always very windy in Patagonia. Buenos Aires was absolute chaos with the traffic we were actually on the last Qantas flight from Buenos Aires to Sydney as they stopped flying to that city after that. Another good interview Marissa I love hearing from people from different parts of the world giving both their perspectives on Australia and talking about their life experiences.

Huge respect to Gabby for just thinking to speak in English just out of respect for the people who wouldn't understand and be able to join in and be included. Another great video and these videos give me great hope for the future as it's showing that the younger generation seems to be trying to have a more understanding of other cultures.

Australia and Argentina have similar weather but I heard it's getting colder in Argentina and you can feel close to Chile! 🥶

Great interview 😊 Having lived in Brisbane, north Queensland, Canberra & Melbourne, I can see Gabi would be better suited to a busier part of Australia than Maggie Island - like Melbourne or Sydney, where there's always something going on, and more people from Argentina too. Hope she sees as much of Australia as possible while she's here.

Argentines are the most friendly people l have met travelling, learned the salsa with two flat Aussie feet and laughed heaps in Buenos Aires. Hope you find your roots here, Welcome

There's a big Venezualian community in Melbourne so much so that my Polish cousins son married one and they've had their first child just over a year ago and went to Florida to introduce their son to family from South America in April this year.

I am Australian and have never met an Argentinean. I have worked professionally with many Brazilians and have met lots of Columbian students.
I am surprised when she mentioned she was concerned about dangerous animals in Australia, when I think of the Americas be it Argentina to America, I am more concerned about violent potentially deadly crime than I am about any animals.

I think it's a matter of perspective. You adapt to the dangers you grow up around, so the other thing always seems more scary.
