What a novel idea to concentrate on the sounds! Good job, Corrie, but at the same time, I did miss your always cheery introduction of each airplane. As an aside, one of the reasons I like to attend antique tractor pulls, is that I can see and hear many of the "sights and sounds" that I experienced while growing up on a Saskatchewan farm in the 1950's. Each machine had its own unique sound in those days. Keep up your excellent work, Corrie.
Thanks Gavin, I appreciate your kind feedback. It warms my heart to know that my narrations are so well received. As will anything, you can't please everyone all the time. I've been pretty bummed to see my channel on the decline and wondered if me talking was the deterrent. It could very well be that reason. It could also be that my content is seasonal. I'm going to look at this as a "bump in the road" and it sends me a message, keep improving. My core viewers, like yourself are the ones whose opinions help me learn and grow. I am sincerely grateful for your always kind words, positive encouragement and unwavering support, thank you. Best....Corrie
Some of these planes were coming in HOT, as if they were being chased by a monster 👾 or something! Great sound of those engines! And I like the font and fade-in choice. Correction, though. The Coast Guard helicopter shown is the Bell Textron 412 EPI, with the single vertical tail fin, and dual external exhaust and stocky landing skids.
Thanks for the heads up on the correction of the Bell 412, I know for next time. When the planes come over the bridge and round the corner, it's such a rush. I agree, like being chased by a monster. This video was a test to gauge if my narrations are a help or hinderance. At this point the general consensus is keep the narration, so I will. I am truly grateful for your always kind words, knowledgeable engagement and support, thank you. Best....Corrie
@@mothmagic1 What I meant about the "stocky landing skids" was that they have larger (beefier) struts that come down from the fuselage. If you compare the 412 against the 429, the 429's struts look thicker. That being the case, struts can be changed and swapped out, so I wouldn't rely on that to make a determination. I mainly look at the tail fin as the distinguishing feature. The 429 has a chevron shaped tail fin, that has an upper and lower portion that both angle backwards. The 412's tail fin just has a single tail going diagonally up and back. There are other differentiating features like the 429's vertical wings on the rear stabilizers, and the 412's open dual exhaust. They also vary in size, with the 412 being bigger (medium-sized), but that is a difficult thing to notice if not being compared side-by-side, or looking at it from a distance as you typically do in your videos.
What did you think of this video without my narrations? My channel has been struggling lately and I'm not sure why. I wonder if me not talking might be better? This video is kind of an experiment, just raw audio. Allan, I am always grateful for your kind words and support, thank you. Best....Corrie
@@leftcoastcorrie I would like you talking as it adds that human comfort but not too much as it reminds me why I am happily divorced for 45 years ahave a good weekend coming up
Allan, you make me chuckle and just made my day, thank you. Consensus is......Corrie should continue narrating. Happily divorced for 45 years, that's a long time. I'm happily single over 5 years now. I always thought I'd be lonely being alone, not at all. It took getting out of a narcissistic relationship to find true happiness. The community at the lounge is an amazing social gathering and the best group of friends I could ever ask for. I know if I were to quit TH-cam, the social engagement would be a huge loss to me. I will keep on keeping on. Best...Corrie
The Canadian Coast Guard helicopter in your other video was a Bell 429, the one in this video is a Bell 412. The 429s are the replacement for the older 412s.
Simon, I had feeling I had it wrong...ugh. I appreciate your correction and for the clarification. Hope all is well with you. I am truly grateful for your kind words, engagement and support, thank you. Best...Corrie

I am so thankful for the corrections, people are so kind in how they assist me. I don't intentionally get it wrong, but it's guaranteed to spark engagement....lol. Next time I have a question about an aircraft, I'll send you a screen shot and you can school me....lol Thanks Simon. Best...Corrie
On the water it seems (e.g. Flight Simulator 2020) that the Twin Otter has no water rudders and taxis using the engines to steer; is that the case? Another awesome video Corrie!
Ken, I noticed the same, the Twin Otter has no "water rudders". I'm pretty sure it steers using flaps, engines and rudders. What did you think of this video without my narrations? My channel is struggling and I wonder if viewers don't want to hear my narrations? Maybe seaplanes on TH-cam is seasonal? Hi Corrie, i really love your videos and i think your narration are great. I don’t understand either, why you subscriptions and viewership hasn’t gone up. I subscribed the first video i saw…and that has awhile back. I’m here to stay and watch all you have to offer. Keep doing what you’re doing and bring back that beautiful voice.
@jbrannum Jim, you are too kind, thank you. I put in a lot of time and effort into simply getting better and to watch my channel staying flat is disheartening. I wondered if it was because I started to talk more in my videos and that made people not want to come back? Your thoughtful comment has inspired me to continue with my narrations. I really enjoy story telling and will continue to do so. Jim, I am truly grateful for your always kind words, engagement and support, thank you. Best....Corrie
Please bring back the narrative. I missed your cheerful introduction of the aircraft. Some of thise approaches were like they had another aircraft close behind and they were trying to get down and out of the way.
Ian, you are not alone when you say please bring back the narrations. Still a big improvement on the 205 aka Huey. More power and twin engine reliability. What makes the skids look thick is the pop out flotation bags
I appreciate the education on helicopters, thank you. Helicopters not a subject I know very well. Best...Corrie
