Really enjoyed this, thank you. I have only one Bark River knife, a Bird & Trout in CPM154 and OD Green Micarta which I bought last year, but I reckon I would enjoy one of these for heavier tasks, in a wood handle for contrast.
Greetings from Texas. Nice blades sir. I have two Bravo 1's in cru-wear on pre-order and I should be receiving an Aurora scandi tomorrow. Take care and God bless.
I have a couple of knives like that, but mostly I use them. Bravo handles in general have been one of my favorites. Plenty big for your hand and comfortable.
The Magna-Cut knives are performing well as far as edge retention and stropping back sharp. Not as stainless as Magna-Cut should be. Overall, I would recommend just going with 3V if you are getting Bark River. Their Magna-Cut does not seem to be any better than 3V.
@Mountain Life the reason why is because they run the magnacut too soft. It's an amazing steel at 62-64 HRC, but I bet they run it at 59 HRC and that's no Bueno.
Their sheath's are not very good anymore, very basic. Trying to save money and time. I carry my knives in the woods and the new style is not safe, meaning you will loose a knife eventually.
I agree. This style is fine if you are standing around working with the knife, but not as good moving through the woods. They tend to lose retention over time. I like a design with some type of retaining snap. The Bravo Vortex sheath was the best Bark River ever put out.

Thanks for watching! I have an Aurora Lt in 3V and it is an excellent knife. The handle is very comfortable. Good luck with your new knives.
I like my bravo2, i have had it about 15 years, have never cut anything with it.

They look nice.
Thanks. Glad you liked them.
Wish I could buy all my Barkies in pairs.
I have 2 sons to pass them along to. It was my wife's idea to get pairs for that reason.
@@MountainLife1 She's a keeper! As is mine.
Are these all safe queens? I don't see sign of use on any of them.
How does the knife and magnacut perform?

I have a custom knife from Dulo Knives in Russia that was made in Magnacut @63 HRC and it easily blows away my 3V blades in terms of edge rentention.
Magna-Cut hold edge much longer then 3V.

$300 plus knife can’t open a box? No thanks!
