When I first read Eckhart's work when he said that the past and the future are illusions, I couldn't quite grasp what he meant, but then I realized that life is just made up of a billion present moments all woven together into one long continuity, and there is a strange comfort in that.
I have always wondered why so many people don't seem to realise that they are ALREADY actually alive and that it's not something that they need to wait for.. it's quite perplexing to think that the majority of people even seem to be under the impression that some days don't actually count as "living" days.. like they'll literally be trying to "get rid of" days, so to speak, in order to get to so called future life.. like they need to get this current day "out of the way" of their life so that they can do something else that they must I guess consider to be "living"...? 🤷♀️🤔🤔
May we all continue to explore and honor this inner dimension of being, finding peace and fulfillment in the simplicity of now. Thank you, Eckhart, for your ongoing guidance and for helping us remember the essence of who we truly are.
Mental scars do heal and fade over time but our memories last a lifetime, memories of past events both happy and unhappy pop in and out of consciousness all the time. Feeding our happy memories with and starving our unhappy memories of our time and our attention is always the wisest course of action as doing the opposite can only ever bring suffering for ourselves and others 🙏🙏🙏🙏

We are replete with commentaries on consciousness, mind and spiritual life but commentaries are just words, and you call this 'knowledge' and 'knowing', but how can knowledge, being a mere representation of what is, like a map of what is, KNOW anything?
