Monster Hunter Wilds Benchmark on RTX3050 LAPTOP i5 11400H 4GB VRAM
Monster Hunter Wilds Benchmark rtx 3050 laptop | Can the RTX 3050 handle Monster Hunter Wilds Benchmark?
720 Resolution test • Monster Hunter Wilds B...
My Spec
Gigabyte G7 GD
Display: 17.3" FHD 1920x1080 IPS 144Hz
CPU: 11th Gen Intel Core i5-11400H
RAM: 16GB DDR4 3200MHz (2x 8GB)
Storage: 512GB M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 4GB GDDR6
As 3050 laptop user, this channel is a godsend. It's a shame that I just founded this channel today
Especially we have the same spec😂
I think the best thing to do is get 32 gb so at least performance won't drop off too much that was my case 32 gigs at least for a laptop of this case it does make a significant difference
SAME! I got a 3050 TI. And i read no where anything about how well it run on such a card in a laptop
just not being a polygon hunter is better
2:35 eminem in monster hunter is wild
To those with similar specs and are wondering why the vram usage is so low: vram for the benchmark is unfortunately much lower than that of the Beta test. I have the same specs except for the processor. The benchmark rendered everything well for me and deemed the game as "Playable" with frame generation on but when I played the Beta today everything was polygons and the minimum Vram requirement was around 5.8gb (the vram requirement for Beta test 1).
i’ve seen people say the beta is an older build, and the benchmark is the build that will be nearly identical to launch. whether this is true or not, i can’t honestly tell you because my suspicions are definitely there knowing Capcom’s history with optimization, but it’s something to consider anyways.
Tysm! I'm glad to see they really improved the performance and it is playable on this GPU. So much better than first beta.
Also, remember that this performance improvements won't be in 2nd beta so, don't expect something like this. It will probably be something like the first beta.
yes, lets see what result we get when we get the actual game
@rtx30504gb I think with NVIDIA drivers and day one patch, it can be a bit better
Wonder if it supports DLSS4
@@rtx30504gb Bro other apps consumes 0.92gb vram. How did you decrease this?
@frommarstosirius_1 install linux
wow it actually got better thank you monster hunter wilds!
It's same build as close beta.
@@Love-ss7gz😅nope this suppose to show how final game performance look .
trust me that lower 25 fps is actually what you will get when hunting there, the other only Hight because cutscene
why did i just found this channel... kuddos bro
My laptop is the same as yours and the game ran horrible in the beta.... The improvement was remarkable, at least now if it is playable
6:17 this is with frame gen struggling to hit 20 fps at the peak dropping to 12... the entire benchmark video from 1:09 to 7:19 is a total of 6 minutes and 10 seconds. that means the entire trial ran in slow motion and took 30 more seconds to finish the benchmark compared to pc that were able to run it. the worse case scenario is the only case that matters cause that's when you are actually playing the game. as someone who is very lenient for graphics and frame rate, but saying this is 'playable' is a huge stretch here
Yeah Beta is an older build. It also needs a horrendes amount of VRAM, the Benchmark is a newer build and less screwed up already
I'm so happy to seeing this mine is Pc RTX 3050 6 GB I couldn't find any benchmark with my GPU on TH-cam most of them are 8 GB var of 3050. This one gives me hope. ❤❤❤
I'm in 2050 and the improvement over the first beta is huge! Running on very low with DLSS I got an average of 48fps in 1080p or 52fps in 900p! the characters and monsters are not polygons! Apparently it was playable, I didn't test it with FSR. let's hunt!!
Using frame generation doesnt tell you much, the latency would make the game unplayable considering how low the base frame rate seems to be. In other words, the game seems to be running in reality at like 15 fps (maybe even less, considering it goes down to 20fps sometimes using frame gen), you will not be able to dodge monsters, like at all.
Edit:
It would be nice if you could turn off frame gen when you showcase the games, it tells us how well the game is actually running. Maybe have 2 sections for your vids? Frame gen on and off? Just my suggestion.
Nvidia Settings > Program settings > click the game you want to play > look for "Low Latency mode" > set to "Ultra"
@fxliquorfeatoldsheikh1142 that doesn't fix things, it consumes more CPU. There are a LOT of cases in which doing that actually worsens game performance, even more so when the system is already struggling to handle a very system intensive game, like Monster Hunter.
@@diegomorenillo That's the point of their marketing tech normies see big numbers and they are happy consumers later on they will wake up to great dissapointment
This game cant hold well even on flagship GPUs because of crap optimization so it will be same launch as Dragons Dogma 2
@@birengo9786 yeah, fucking Nvidia. It doesn't help that developers are also using these AI tools to just be lazy with optimization. Just check the difference in optimization between Kingdom Come 2 and Monster Hunter...
@@birengo9786 I would like to correct; Dragons dogsh*t 2
i can't see the final score. blocked by suggested other videos
score-7716 average fps-41.11
"setting changes recommended" well I recommend Capcom to release an actual playable game
I orginally played this on PSP. It’s pretty nice now.
the PS5 also lags quite a bit. It's weird to see a monster hunter game struggling on platforms
It's mostly just because it's just Capcom. They attend to always release games that it tends to be on bad performance side, but they tend to fix them later on the release. It's usually common for that case
35 fps WITH framegen, this is beyond cooked
W vid but bro could you test cyberpunk with the new nvidia update?
why my Vram usage is 6 gb ?, in your video it just 4 gb
in that case i would truly try out dlss-performance lossless 4x or even 5x.
But fg just isnt made if the base-fps is below 50.
kinda beats the point of FG imo. If I was already getting 60 fps, i wouldn't bother using FG. The only time I would want to use it is if i was getting less than 45 and in that scenario FG does more harm than good.
@@shaunaqpaul3078 cause u dont get the point. Its best use scenario is if u have a high fps monitor and want to max that like 200-360fps.
below 50fps u can use it in some games, depening how well it is made.
This video made me sad... I need upgrade to play this game
I don't think it is anything to do with your GPU but bad optimisation of this game. There is no reason this game runs below 30fps in a desert environment
@@RobIn-ky4uzIt doesnt though. Unless you plan to play the game on a 3050 laptop gpu. I’ve seen plenty of people get over 60fps with a 3060 ti. If you have even a remotely good computer, you’ll be able to run the game fine.
Exactly ever since the OBT I gave away my 3050 laptop to my younger siblings and bought a 4060 one. Best purchase I've made
@@RobIn-ky4uz True, but RTX 3050 Laptop ain't exactly the best low budget card out there (it's also only 4gb of VRAM).
the game is the problem, anything below a 4070ti with a 5700x is not going to run this game at acceptable levels. this is the worst thing capcom has put out, worse than the first beta.
3050 laptop with 4gb vram really below the lowest req. And don't use FSR mod framegen, it's really sht and consume Vram too.
Try update the DLSS dll to newest and use preset J, balanced mode dlss looking really good now
I'm on a Dell G15 5525 laptop. With same GPU and an AMD Ryzen 5 6600H CPU, which is slightly better than yours here.
Last beta test was horrible, origami monsters and all. Seem like I can hold off on buying a new laptop for now! Tho this 2nd beta test won't have the improved optimization yet. Sadge...
You see. The 4GB VRAM are not dead!
cope
dude its already dead
@@arfianwismiga5912 The majority of games runs there. And where not, you can use mods. Be a Bad option is not same to be dead. So, IT'S NOT DEAD
New engines in game will devour anything 😁😁😁
If cpu AMD Ryzen 7 4000 series still can get like that too? Not intel?
Yep, on the benchmark and demo i've got 60 fps. It's really² playable. But the only one problem is,, Polygon. That's really bothering me lol. But yeah, i think this is it.
solo pido una cosa.... que lo sigan optimizando porque si lo quiero jugar aunque sea con graficos en medio para poder disfrutarlo mejor, tengo una rtx 2060 de 6gb de vram y un i310100f y ver eso me dan menos esperanzas de que lo voy a disfrutar de forma fluida... ademas ya lo pre compre ;-;
Dont pre purchase. They way they r holding this performance patch in lunch version means its gonna be ass. Purchase after lunch if only it runs great, paying full price just to play on low medium setting is not worth it
How do you have vram usage that low? For me it is around 5gb
I even have copied same settings as you
"I have the same issue. If you find a solution, let me know. I basically only see polygons."
same shit here
VRAM for the benchmark is unfortunately much lower than that of the Beta test. I have the same specs except for the processor. The benchmark rendered everything well for me and deemed the game as "Playable" but when I played the Beta today everything was polygons and the minimum Vram requirement was like 5.8 GB.
@@ramon6783Do you know how to fix this problem. Or what we can do is wait for them to fix it.
Same config, but polygon monsters, do you have any tips?
the beta 2 is the same as the beta 1, they manage to cap the graphics for users under 6GB VRAM so the spects gonna be the same always, but in the release it's going to be fixed (sorry for my poor english)
Did a few tests on my laptop, not sure if you want to try it yourself, but if you download DLSS swapper and put in dlss4, you can run it dlss peformance and it still look good and you end up with a higher score then this, since framegen is causing you to stutter and lose peformance
doesnt dlss4 generates fake fps, did u try playing changing with dlss4 in any game is it difference while playing?
@@rtx30504gb dlss4 only generates fake frames if you turn on frame gen aka 40 or 50 series cards, dlss4 for 30 series cards and below is just an upgrade over dlss3, dlss4 peformance in a lot of games looks better then the old dlss quality in a lot of games.
@@rtx30504gb dlss4 only generates fake frames on 40 and 50 series cards, dlss4 also upgrades all aspects of DLSS, including the upscailing that is used on 30 series and below, the new peformance is better then the old quality model most of the time, so you can get a big peformance boost in games while having better visuals over the old DLSS
@ ohh ok any other game that work with this dlss4 swapper? i wanna try it
@@rtx30504gb plenty of games do, actually some games dont even need DLSS swapper, with the new update on the nvidia app you can force games to use DLSS4, but with DLSS swapper you can just do it with any game pretty much, just open up nvidia app, under graphics, then pick a game, under driver settings, if you change the DLSS override settings to latest, it will use DLSS4, if it says Unsupported, try refreshing the app, if it still doesnt work, just download DLSS swapper and its pretty easy to use.
edit: new DLSS model is a bit heavier, so, quality old vs quality new will lose FPS, but quality old vs balanced new will gain fps and look better then quality old.
Eh. in my case and that is with ful desktop with Ryzen 9 5900X, RTX 3070 with 32BG of ram I could not start the benchmark properly and to let it run. It just BSOD my entire system! and ran way worse. Cutscene was choppy and then the screen froze with the sound indication it is still playing onward for like a 30 secs or so and then BSOD!
That is with the latest drivers for GPU!
I tested it on my computer, which is basically an acer nitro 5 i5 12450h rtx 3050 16gb ram and I had a very satisfactory performance, with more than double the score in the benchmark.I believe it is worth using DLSS
Anyway, I'll record the test and post it on my channel.
I have the same thing except I just put 32 gigs of ram, I'm sure with extra ram games going to run to fine
@revduesshin In your tests, did the game use more than 16GB of RAM? I'm thinking about upgrading, but in Brazil any piece of hardware is too expensive, so it's something that becomes difficult to do
@@DeJotakk it did not use more than 16. Depending how do you put your settings, assuming you have relatively low settings Sutely 10gbs. My case was at least 12-13Gb I would only say get 32 gigs, because it does relieve a some stress,. But I would say it just depends how many programs you have running in the back too.
In my opinion for desktop cases More does it usually wouldn't matter too much. But for a gaming laptop case it does. So in my opinion I would recommend 32(only because it would also relieve some stress on the system). But 16 is enough depending what you have in the background running.

I didn't try Ultra settings because I've got a warning of VRAM shortage if I continue with Ultra. It is for 10GB VRAM or more.
Above 85C on either CPU or GPU that's damaging the components

Frame generation uses a lot of Vram so it makes sense why 4GB couldn't properly handle it
