@@QuestionMarkOHai This is a little misleading as to the extent it is damaging. NFTs themselves aren't inheritly damaging, but it's the energy that's used that the ethereum blockchain uses to run. Sure there's some energy usage, but the scale at which it's used has been massively misleading.

A key point missing in this video is that solidity uses a new paradigm of coding where 'value' is sent around, which can be accessed by msg.value and saved to maps using addresses as the key and the 'value' is the value. mapping(address => uint256) randomToken; randomToken[msg.sender] += msg.value; It's extremely elegant in this way.
Btw, legal tip. Don't say that people can "buy your video as an NFT" or something like that. That is technically and legally incorrect. They are buying a hash that maps to a unique video from an API. That is a massive, vital difference. If you make people believe that you can create platforms that sell people's content as an NFT legally, those people can get really fucking mega fucked when they autogenerate content to be sold, only to get sued by multiple content creators (or maybe the platform itself) for trademark infringement because they said that people can "buy content" instead of "buy a hash".

dont initially test on a testnet until you have tested on a local network, i recommend ganache-cli or ganache (with gui)
it has instant mining, and better logs -> significantly faster and works well with testing frameworks
