I wish you had gone in to the really tragic mindset that led Sirius to allow himself to be carted off to Azkaban without speaking in his own defense. He knew that Peter had betrayed James and Lily, but he held himself responsible because he was the one who convinced them to use Peter as Secret Keeper. In his eyes, James and Lily were dead and Peter had escaped and it was all his fault. He felt he deserved the punishment, until he happened to see a newspaper showing Peter in Egypt with the Weasleys, and he knew that Peter would be at Hogwarts with Harry. His need for vengeance is why he escaped, and he was prepared to risk his soul to the Dementors if it meant a chance to kill Peter. He never intended to be proven innocent or to be set free, and never imagined that he would be reunited with Remus or be able to have any kind of relationship with Harry.

I find it interesting that you went to the trouble to mention Bellatrix and Narcisa and who they marry but ignored the best of the THREE Black sisters, Andromeda. Yes her name flashes by (4:24) but you don't mention her and you give the impression that Serious was the only good Black. People who haven't read the books won't know the meaning of a random name passing by as she was completely cut out of the movies. Personally I think you should have either mentioned ALL three or none of them.

I’ve read fanfiction, watched fan films, read all out them on pottermore, etc..
I know they (James especially) gets a lot of flack simply cause of their rivalry with snape and the other slytherins but their story is special and their fates are so different just like their lives were
James the Golden Boy lucky child 🏆
Sirius the black sheep of his family 🐾
Remus the kind yet lonely victim of hate 🐺
Peter the social outcast and scared, cowardly, disloyal, dirty, scummy piece of shi-

Even Snape never saw Peter when he saw the map in Lupin's office (he'd forgotten to close it when he went to help the trio). I honestly can't stand the hate that the Marauders receive from Harry Potter fans. They present the marauders as a group of bullies and Snape as a poor victim who never did anything wrong. I personally like the Marauders (except Peter for obvious reasons) and I really would love to see their story in the form of a TV-show or something, so people would finally get their perspective. Because due to HP movies cutting out a lot of bad stuff about Snape, fans tend to despise the marauders which is not really deserved. James was probably a bit spoiled but he matured up and became a man who faced Voldemort without a wand to protect his child. Sirius was a loyal friend who would've died for those he cared about. And Remus turned out to be one of the best teachers we ever seen on Hogwarts and he's definitely one of the nost likeable characters. I truly wish we would finally get their side of the story, how James and Sirius went through hell to be able to turn into animals in order to help Remus and make those around him safe. One do have to remember the wizard world was in a war. It was so bad that Hagrid himself even said that it was very dark times and that everybody was so scared that even after the war ended they still refuses to use the dark wizard's name. Wars changes people. James had to see allies and friends getting killed right in front of him.
You have to remember that he just became a father for a year and he find out that the dark wizard was going to go after his son. The man who let nobody lives when he decided to kill them. James had to be protective of his family. This wasn't about himself. He was willingly to hide in order to protect his wife and son. Then when he came, he tried his best to protect them.
You have to remember that he lost his parents young due to them being old when they had him. No doubt that he wishes that they were still around and that they could had met their grandson.
You have to remember that for all of his flaws he was still friends with both a werewolf and someone who comes from a pure-blood extremist family background. He didn't judges Remus and Sirius which is why both are so loyal to him even after his death.
James went through lot as a young adult and likely experience some kind of spiritual change as a result so how can one say that he didn't changes? Also, some people don't get to bury the hacket but while it would been nice to do so, does that really mean that you changes or not? Some people will never get along no matter what. Also, even if he did, would Snape even accepts it? Would Snape even admit his own wrong doing in the feud? You can't put all the blame on James because Snape played a role in this too. Also, Snape became a death eater during their young adulthood so why on earth would James want to say "I'm sorry" to him?

This is my doubt. Why harry never heard about The Deathly Hallows untill he talked to Xenophilius Lovegood. In the first movie, when harry gets the invisibility cloak as a gift, Ron recognizes the cloak immediately and says it's an Invincibility cloak. Means he clearly knows about it. In deathly hallows part 1 when the trio visit Xenophilius Lovegood, he talks about the deathly hallows. Then Ron and Hermione say they know the story of deathly hallows. But harry says he doesn't know. Why Harry doesn't know anything about the story of the cloak when Ron clearly knows it? The cloak is one of 'The Deathly Hallows' and it's owned by Ron's best friend Harry Potter!!! Even they used the cloak a few times🤷‍♀️

You call Mr. Lupin's comment that all werewolves are soulless evil creatures who deserve death as one "aggravated insult"? It was hateful. Do you not believe he already harbored those feelings? Why are so many HP fans willing to sugar coat horrible behavior as long it's s done by s character they like? Mr. Lupin put a target on his familiy's back. How was he surprised by what happened? Worse though, is what if Grey back was a meek werewolf who never attacked people. Mr. Lupin didn't feel bad about terrorizing him in front of other people or expressing such hateful demeaning comments.

I honestly don't get why people like the Marauders. All of them were horrible.
Lupin, while he did grow out of it, was too lenient. He was made a prefect so he could restrain James and Sirius, but he didn't. Again, he grew out of it, so I guess he's the least of four evils.
Peter, goes without saying, is an asshole. He went along with James's bullshit just so he won't get picked on himself. And of course later he grew to be a literal rat.
I don't think I need to tell you why James is bad. You know, I'd argue for superiority with him. He was a pure-blood, who used spells he probably learned at home to abuse someone with lesser magical abilities. It literally took his friend trying to straight up murder a guy to make him seem somewhat reasonable.
Sirius is the worst of the bunch. He never grew out of his assholish nature. James probably wouldn't have done half tbe things he did if Sirius wouldn't have encouraged him. And I'll say it again, he tried to straight up murder Snape, and frame Lupin for it just cuz of a prank.
Just as an FYI, the maon victim of the Marauders was Snape, but I just wanted to make clear that I don't like Snape either. I think he's very much like Sirius, a sad, petty man who can't let go of some stupid high school drama. Not to mention the blood supremacy and child abuse.

Because characters don’t need to be the best people ever to like them, because even though they’ve all did not great things people are 3 dimensional and it’s fun to explore that, especially with their friendship dynamic and what they did for Remus and tragedy of everything that happened

I agreed, either do I. Well, maybe Lupin.
I don’t know if I would say, that Peter is an asshole. But he just a kiss-ass wannabe and scaredy-cat coward, who later which side when he go for the strong person that could protect him.
James was just a straight up jerks and bullied, who constantly bullied and pick on Severus. Every chance he got.
Sirius is absolutely the worse, when trying to get Severus kill by Lupin. I really lost my respect for him, as he definitely didn’t change. When he got older, he still treat and pick on Severus. When him and Lupin encounter each, in a Whomping Willow.
While I think was bad for hanging and being friends with those three, but I think he he only one it’s more remorse and feels bad. That never stopped James and Sirius, for picking and bullied Severus went he should have.

    • @clover2739
      @clover2739 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

@@o_huskywolfdean7 yeah I understand Lupin tbh even though it’s not right, I think that’s an interesting dynamic to explore because he did try to say stuff to them, Sirius even says he’d make them feel guilty about it sometimes but obviously not enough to stop them ans lupin regrets not doing more. However I do understand why he was still friends with them and struggled to get out of it. I think people need to realise in these discussions is that people aren’t one dimensional, James was an arrogant prick absolutely, I would be the first to say so and Sirius was worse however they also accepted Lupin straight away when they found out what he was, something most in the wizarding word wouldn’t do, especially purebloods and greyback was at an all time high then. Not only did they accept him but they did something dangerous to help him during the worst times in the month to keep him company so it’s not as painful for him. They are reckless and the worst to people they hate, like snape but they are great ffriends to have because they do the most either way. It’s even confirmed that James would give both Sirius and Lupin money after hogwarts to help them live, especially with Lupin since because of his condition he couldn’t hold a job. I think it’s interesting to explore how things aren’t just black and white.
Look at snape as well for example, did he deserve to get bullied? Absolutely not. However we have also got to remember that he wasn’t any better in school, he literally hung around with a group of deatheaters and he sat by and let one of his friends use dark magic on Lilys friend and when Lily calls him out on it, he doesn’t feel sorry. Doesn’t feel bad in anyway, but instead says that it was just ‘for a laugh’ and snape was known to be that awful Lily even admits that everyone questions why she hangs out with him and she’s been trying to defend him for years but she can’t. She even says snape calls people like her mudblood all the time, saying a word like that during a huge war that’s killing muggleborns isn’t something that can be said by accident unless you were using it all the time, especially since snape isn’t even pure blood so he hasn’t grew up with that pure blood ideology in his head. So yes, it is awful he was bullied but I think people ignore how snape was also horrible in school as well, almost worst considering the circumstances and snape even bullied children later on as an adult as well, but he’s a character favourite. Things just aren’t all black and white from one character trait.
Even though Sirius was worse to snape specifically it’s obvious why people would like him as well, Peter on the other hand has no redeeming traits whatsoever and isn’t fleshed out in anyway. Sirius didn’t change and didn’t grow up, but considering he was also locked in Azkaban for 12 years if his life wig dementors I completely understand why he didn’t age mentally
