Hey HPTheory! Love your videos! I'd like to make a video suggestion (if you already did something on that topic I'd very like to know!): It's about Hogwarts Legacy. I struggle to create my character because I want to give him/her a lore friendly family name that fits to the time period around 1890-1891, with the player character being 15-16 years at that point. Playing a Dumbledore, Granger or Weasly doesn't make any sense for various reasons, neither does Black. Currently I think a "Burke" or "Prince"- character for Slytherin could fit somehow. Could you do a "possible player-ancestry"-video or something like that? This would be really cool!
If the HBO show is a success, I hope we get spin-offs based on the noble/pure-blood houses. We know people will watch the hell out of something like that.
I'm going to give you a warning. If you watch that show then you're making a mistake. There werre things from the books the filmmakers left out of the movies for good reasons like: Peter Pettigrew's death, physical fights, and Ron and Ginny's personalities because they were too dark, violent, and even made the heroes look like they're the bullies. If you watch the show then you don't know what you're in for.
@@brysontipton1893 great! Then we get a different angle on the same story. I personally really like the dark parts of the books, as they really give a sense of the stakes. Making the heroes more flawed is not exactly a bad thing.
In Hogwarts Legacy, if you follow the hedge mazes, there is mention of a fifteenth century Black witch, a half-blood because her mother married a muggle, but she simply saw herself as a victim of her mother and thought she was worthy of the name Black.
Last night (prior to this video's release) my mum and I went though the papers of her family's geneology. It was very confusing. Lots of same names through generations... which even affects me personally. Lots of marriages to spouses that had the same name as others already in the family. There were earthshaking details we found in records that are not mentioned afterwards, and I also found unsupported gossip relayed to me by my mum. Real genealogies aren't created by one author for the convenience of their readers. Real genealogies are messy with lots of forgotten details and made up details. And lots of inconsistently spelled names. Having something written down wrong in the past is terribly powerful. If someone got a hold of one of my childhood birthday cards from my grandmother, they wouldn't know how to spell my name. Yep. My own grandmother.
And he's not the only one. The rest of the disowned ones were disowned because their family couldn't understand selflessness. The squib marius was disowned for being a squib and the sad thing is his parents weren't grateful for having him. Iola, Cedrella, and Andromeda were disowned because they chose love.
One thing that has always bemused me was that Sirius explained his relationship to the Malfoys, Tonks & the Weasleys but completely omitted Harry’s relationship to the Black family through Charlus Potter’s marriage to Dorea Black and their Son who were likely first and second cousins to Henry Potter Harry’s great grandfather and Fleamont potter his grandfather. They weren’t that far off the family tree as Dorea was the aunt to Walburga Sirius’s mother and his cousins the Black sisters. The ironic part was that Harry quickly saw and pointed out to the Malfoys relation to Sirius but missed to recognize his own family’s connection to the Blacks.
I don't think cedrella and Septimus are Arthur's parents because walburga and him would second cousins and walburga was boring in 1925 and Arthur was born in 1950 , making him a whole generation from her. Another thing is Ron said his whole family was in Gryffindor and cedrella was in slytherin, we know other member of Ron's family besides his parents and siblings, like his uncle billius, his great great aunt Muriel, his uncles Fabian and Gideon, his great aunt tessie, and his great uncle ignatius, who married into the family by marrying lucretia black.
Thanks! This was very interesting! I often wondered. After the second war, did Harry and Ginny move into the Home he inherited from Sirius? If not, what became of a home?

Headmaster Black from Hogwarts Legacy is Phineas Nigellus, who is covered in this video and is portrayed in both the books and the Hogwarts Legacy game as an incompetent, blood supremacist git.
you played legacy and thought PNB was a nice guy..? 😂
you played legacy and thought PNB was a nice guy..? 😂
@@lex9313Not nice, but not evil
@@jones9048he was though. He may have preferred pure bloods but he wasn’t cruel to mudbloods and half breeds for no reason. Legacy did expand on his character.
And then theres Phineas black. The embarrassment of the clan
In hogwarts legacy the headmaster is that seris cousin or something?
He's Sirius' great great grandfather, phineas nigellus black
@@brysontipton1893 oh ok thanks
Any time
Green red yellow any blue?❤
Bellatrix a h03
a glorious 304. legendary rider for the cause
😂😂😂
How fun would it be if Squib Cygnus Black was a distant relative to Hermione Granger?
The squib relative's named marius. his father was named cygnus, and so, was his nephew.
What about the founder's of hogwarts were they come from who raised them
if the "canon" only goes back to the 19th century... why did they always call themselves t"the ancient and honorable house black"? 200 years isnt ancient
It is breeding wise.
Does JK put out this information or is there other written information I never knew? Fan based?
There's only one Sirius black and that's Harry Potter God father.
Cursed Child should not be considered canon. It makes no sense in the timeline
Hearing Delphini’s name damn near ruined this video for me 😭
@@brysontipton1893 you’re not antagonizing me. Lol! I love all things Harry Potter and was so excited to read the cursed child but I feel like it just went against so many things she had already set up in HP. Some sort of weird retcon. Idc what JK said, I can still dislike that book. For me it just doesn’t fit. I also know there are people who like it. I’m not one of them.
@@brysontipton1893if you think cedric becoming a death eater and voldemort having a kid is realistic maybe you don’t know harry potter as well as you thought🤷♂️
@@brysontipton1893 bruh you on every comment trynna defend the cursed child like jk rowling gonna see your comments just admit it’s trash it’s a lot easier
@@brysontipton1893 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@brysontipton1893 you the one on every comment trying to call people out🤷♂️
love your content. but please stop referencing the cursed child.
Voldemort didn't sire delphi out of love. A possibility is bellatrix gave him a love potion, just like what happened with his parents.
And you can't argue your way out of this one.
Im not sure what you mean by argue my way out? The CC is complete dog crap that ruins canon events that JK has put in her books. It feels like a fan fiction book/play that JK sold out and took a bag of money for saying its canon. @@brysontipton1893
"if we look at tge children that Orion and his wife.. and cousin-" 💀 the blacks truly
Sirius could live in the woods or pitch a tent 🎪
Cassie-oh- pia... Wow, that's a name
It's a constellation... And it's spelled Cassiopeia, most of the names are astronomical references. Sirius is the brightest star in the night sky, Arcturus is a red star, regulus is in Leo, Pollux is in Gemini, cygnus is also a constellation, and Bellatrix is a star in the constellation Orion.
Yea tell me about my family lol 😂
We're the goblins come from who raised them 👺
Not easy being with family or friends or alone
It’s a wonder the wizarding world isn’t all inbred 😂
The cursed child is terrible and shouldnt be considered

im confused, belatrix had a child with voldemort ????
Yeah. She clearly gave him a love potion

Yes
Must we really count Delphini?
@@brysontipton1893 Most people I know consider it worse than the worst fanfiction, so I'm not counting it as canon, no matter what Rowling says.
Having an opinion doesn't always mean you're smart. At least I'm agreeing with her because she's telling the truth.
