I live in the state where most of our Nuclear testing was done and sure it would have been dangerous to visit the areas 20-30 years ago, but these days the radiation is only three times normal levels, if you fly in a plane over 30,000ft you'd get the same levels of radiation. Even the nuclear waste storage areas have no significant levels of radiation, there was a news story on it in 2018. 99% of 10,000 barrels of waste are at dose levels. i.e the same as having an X-ray done. Just sayin' we might look like a nuclear wasteland, but only the sites where detonations occurred still have significant levels of radiation - like Maralinga www.australiaforeveryone.com.au/files/sa/images/maralinga-test-site.jpg
All I know is that I clicked on a video that said “ICBM” and “awesome” in the same sentence, I’m already hooked.

Before I finish seeing this - the concept sounds similar to the game DEFCON!
Because it is DEFCON but with more stuff that can actually vary the gameplay
If you don´t have overhead radar the Sam sites are very unlikely to shoot the ICBMs down. Got you in both matches. As well as anti ballistic missiles of course. You don´t need advanced versions really like Carla said. Regular ICBMs get easily intercepted by the base versions. Advanced SAM is purely against aircraft too and does nothing against ICBMs.
False Warheads can´t really be intercepted though unless you cover the entire globe with laser sattelites. Hypersonic missiles don´t imrpove the false warhards. They are for plane based nukes and ships to remove defences.
You should do more of this on Atomic Nerds!! Very enjoyable, cheered me up!

I wish this game had an atmosphere like DEFCON. Obviously this game is more in depth, but the tiny nuke explosions, lack of causalities appearing next to a nuked city, etc really make the game look kinda bland.
Quite fun but SSBNs are broken af.
