Just came for that note...you know the NOTE...the one that made Darlene Love forget she was singing background on TV and made her think she was in the church choir. Aretha raised the octave and the hairs on everybody's arms. THE QUEEN

The beautiful Darlene Love got the spirit. Jesus take me now because I've been to the mountain top of soul 🙏🎶🎼💙. I saw Aretha with the GREAT Temptations. That's the day the music died for me. The Great 👑 of soul sang 2 songs & we looked @ each other my best friend Frank his sister LOVELY CARMEN & my cousin Cindy. Were were 16 & 17. We had never heard of Aretha & We were the only white people there but when we left. WE HAD SO MUCH SOUL WE COULD NOT CONTROL. WITH ALL DUE RESPECT. Arnold Bourbon Amaral. P.S. Like my Dad 👴would say music has no boundaries. 💙💐🌍🌎🌏👱💇🙆👨

@@saintjay8058it is impossible to belt without mixing with no strain. Aretha mixed too, she sang with a balanced mix which is why she never sounded shouty or light, her belts were perfectly balanced.

To those IDIOTS, who deal with a video's aidio, and replace it with a 'clean' digital track, and post it - pushing its 'HQ' sound, THIS is FAR better.
Yes, it might be mono, yes, it's not pristine, BUT; Jess REAL, and the energy you get, from the audience, and the awesome work provided by the Blossoms (who are NOT the backup singers I the record), is SO much better than listening to 'prefect' digital audio from a recordibg, which you've racked on.
I know I'm not alone in both loving Ms Franklin's great performance (and that of the Blossoms, 'natch).
    THIS it's AWESOME
