    The luggage storage was a life safer. I had to leave my hotel in the morning and get on a returning flight at night. So put away my luggage and could enjoy all day. Can be a hassle if there are no storage options left. Just go to the next station and look for lockers there.

    Hey I wonder do they ship luggage if you like buy something and your luggage over weight so you ship some items back is there a place you can do that?

    • @tokyocheapo
      @tokyocheapo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It might be cheaper to ship some items back home in the post, rather than ship a whole suitcase. We have an article on sending things from Japan tokyocheapo.com/living/shipping-your-stuff-home-from-japan/

    Hey there, need some confirmation on my doubts.Most of the storage or service center opens at 8:00 AM, if I need to store it at Tokyo station and pick it up by 6:30 AM the next day (would like to take the Narita Express train) , is the only option then would be the lockers? Thank you !

    Do you have a recommended place in Osaka thats similar to Wander compass? I'm having a hard time searching for one. Thank you

      Are you searching the locker one? I find daikoku locker and it's so cheap about 180 yen for big luggage. Just Google the place it will show up

    Hello, I'm curious what's the size of the coin lockers? I'm planning to store like a standard large check-in luggage but I'm not sure if it would fit.

    • @MeepMu
      @MeepMu ปีที่แล้ว

      There are many different sizes. In my experience, lockers are usually surprisingly deep, so they can often hold larger luggage than they might seem.

      @tokyocheapo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Provided you don’t have unusually wide luggage the largest size lockers should be fine with most check-in luggage

    How are you not gonna say the size of the locker..

    • @tokyocheapo
      @tokyocheapo  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You’ll find them in multiple sizes in train and bus stations, in and around busy event spaces, museums or galleries, near sightseeing spots, and occasionally on random shopping streets.
      For Example: Locker Size in Tokyo station :
      Height 55 cm ×Width 34 com ×Depth 57 cm:
      Height 84 cm×Width 34cm ×Depth 57cm
      Height 103cm×Width 34cm×Depth 57cm:

    Can this be done also in Osaka?

    • @tokyocheapo
      @tokyocheapo  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Absolutely! In both Tokyo and Osaka, you'll find convenient luggage storage options. Major train stations, airports, and some hotels offer luggage storage services. These facilities are handy if you want to explore the city unencumbered before check-in or after check-out. Just look for signs like "coin lockers" or inquire at information desks. It's a convenient way to make the most of your time without lugging your bags around.

    I need to store my bags for between 4-5 days while I’m away in Osaka. Would coin lockers be a good option?

    • @tokyocheapo
      @tokyocheapo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Most coin lockers won’t store luggage that long. Try one of the storage locations that do longer term storage, like Wander Compass in Shibuya

      @@tokyocheapo Thank you for the information. Is there anything more central to Tokyo Station or Akihabara? I will be taking a Shinkansen to Osaka within a few hours after arriving at Haneda. Thanks again.

      The Sagawa service desk at Tokyo Station might work well for you then: www.sagawa-exp.co.jp/ttk/english/servicecenter/tokyo_station.html 😊
