    Hello M Delokk! I thought it was a bad idea to draw trump if you know you will use 2 of your trumps for 1 of theirs. Am I wrong to think that? Thank you

      Hi JD. Usually it is best to draw all the trumps, even if it takes two to get the last one. The exception is if the outstanding trump is the highest. Leaving the defenders with a rogue trump can be disastrous. There is a very old saying in Bridge which my father taught me: There is many a man walking the streets of London with the backside out of his trousers because he didn’t lead trumps!

      Am I correct to think that when you say " if the outstanding trump is highest" you mean if the opponent's last trump is of higher value than the ones I have left? I love the old saying your father said!! It's clever and funny!! Thank you for sharing@@jadbridge

    My beginners often get confused with the terms ruffs/trumps when I interchange them.

      I totally agree. I only use Trump with my beginners.

      @@jadbridge I try to do that as well...but 35 years of interchanging terms is a difficult habit to break.
