    Satsang date: May 2018
    Gautam Sachdeva speaks and writes on the subject of Advaita (non-duality). He writes with a specific focus on peace of mind in daily living. He spent over nine years in close association with renowned Advaita sage Ramesh Balsekar, assisting him with the editing and publishing of some of his books. Ramesh’s guru was Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj, whose famed book I Am That is considered a modern spiritual classic. With the blessings of Ramesh, Gautam went on to write books based on his experience with the teaching. He also shares his experiential understanding of Advaita during talks with groups of like-minded people, with the specific focus of ‘peace of mind in daily living’.
    Gautam is also the founder of Yogi Impressions, a publishing house that is at the forefront of publishing books on spirituality and personal growth. Yogi Impressions publish books across categories such as non-duality, kundalini, religion, mythology, paranormal, tarot, biography, mental health, parenting, health and wellness. Some of the authors and spiritual masters published include Alan Jacobs, Alan Watts, Eckhart Tolle, Deepak Chopra, Joseph Campbell, Mooji, Nisargadatta Maharaj, Peter Russell, Rainer Maria Rilke, Rajini Menon, Ramana Maharshi, Ramesh S. Balsekar, Robert Adams, Santosh Sachdeva, Tony Parsons. Visit yogiimpression...

    Constantly being aware of the inert blank TV screen, while watching the movie on it. Not to get caught up in whatever is appearing on the screen OR seeing the intrinsic gold in the ornament.

      @@2828jordan I do understand what Gautam ji is trying to explain here, but I am nowhere close to any perfection.
      My meditation is continuous from within, but I have started to sit down with a calm mind for sometime to meditate. Listening to Gautam gives me a better idea as to what I should actually be looking out for. Thanks for your comment because it gave me another opportunity to listen to this lovely video 🙏🏼

    I set aside an hour in the morning, sometime in the afternoon about 15 minutes or so, and an hour before I go to sleep. So why do I not try to do it all the time? Overdoing anything could lead to mental problems one has to be careful. I was into J Krishnamurti for many years and I tried his choiceless awareness which was good but I developed mental health issues. I am sure if Bhagavan was here he would not push someone to do something that might challenge one's mental health. So my advice to people is to practice this awareness for several hours a day but not all the time.

    It's not that simple ( this eating dosa and focusing on Ramanas hint once is simple), in daily life..... thoughts are mixed with feelings, other distractions and it needs focus to act on something, all this occurs simultaneously. While doing daily activities, focusing on self becomes difficult.

    • @bless238
      @bless238 ปีที่แล้ว

      After practice, it will be simple.

      Many of the daily activities we do are habitual and do not require as much focus as one would assume. Examples are washing dishes or cooking, taking a shower or brushing your teeth, exercising or walking back and forth at your workplace. All of these 'automatic' activities are an opportunity to fix the mind on God 🙏
