Boxy vocals , taming high frequencies with a steep curve on low end . Low end is density dependent . You’re better off recording with the echo and removing it with plugins . Boxy vocals will not be fixed right unless you’re in a low NSF room . ( true treated room ) . So save your time .
@@bigol9223 Sounding boxy means that only high frequencies and, to a reasonable degree, mid-high frequencies are being dampened. Low frequencies can not be dampened by blankets, and not even by thin walls. You need thicker, more heavier walls for that.
Sorry, there's no way. I just inserted this music in my video cutting app, and as I've neither got that phone nor this app anymore, there's no way for me telling which song it was!
it's your average type of moving blanket. they're a bit on the heavier side than "normal" blankets, but not so much as real acoustic blankets, which are considerably more expensive.
I used rather cheap moving blankets. I think I got 6 of them for 20€. Basically it doesn't matter which ones you use, as long as they are a little bit thicker than your usual thin blanket.
Mostly, unfortunately. It's a bit less loud outside the both, which is better than nothing. But the booth is way better at providing a great sound INSIDE than at proventing the sound from going OUTSIDE.
This is the easiest and most affordable way I've seen to make a DIY vocal booth. So simple! Thanks 😊!
Hi, glad it helps you! You're welcome! Let me know if you tried it yourself, and how well it works for you!
Perfect 💯
thanks so much!
Love the hammer!
me too!
splendid

how would you remove the reverb in post?
You can't
What does this mean? Using blankets for a booth will make the vocals boxy? What is boxy?

@@lukeiggy so this type of setup would make the vocals sound bad or am I not understanding
Would it be possible to find the music you used during video creation? It's a very unique sound

I actually did this as well with the same blankets (great harbor freight find) and I put them on rope to slide open and close
awesome! are you happy with the result?
This go hard, thanks!
you're welcome!
Is this soundproofing at all? I mean can you sing and not disturbing your neighbours?
I didn't make any real measurements. It's kind of soundproofing, let's just say maybe 10dB. For vocals though, not for any low-frequency stuff.
What type of heavy blanket you used?

Setup is cool. What's the music?
Thank you! Well, that's just some stock music I found in my video editor haha. Couldn't tell you, how the song was called.
What video editor did you use? I'm trying to track that stock music down
I NEEDED THIS MORE THAN EVER THANK YOU 🙏
Glad to have helped you! Have fun DIYing 😉
Can duvet work?
Can people hear you outside the booth ?

Duh 🙄
Will the neighbours still be able to hear you ?
Depends on how much the were able to hear you before you built the booth!
@@lukeiggy thank you for your reply
@@noka283 of course dude!
If you’re really poor and can’t even do that, just use your closet
I 100% agree! ;)
