Harry's Garage is my #1 for years. No one else presents cars in such a way. The absence of modern power terms in language just makes it so much better. Greetings from Germany
Great interview, Harry is a national treasure, no side or big headedness, just great fun, tells us what he really thinks about the cars, his road trip videos are brilliant too!! A real English gentleman, we should all celebrate his humility, and self effacing good nature. Harry's farm is very interesting and educational too, the government and Defra need to listen to his concerns. Very knowledgeable, trained in agriculture, brilliant all round good chap!!. Cheers Peter.
Great interview , well done , your channel should have way more subscribers , hopefully the Harry effect will boost your numbers , you deserve it , I’ve subscribed
Sorry Harry, but the Esprit Turbo was in For Your Eyes Only. It was white at the start in Spain then the 'copper' car was indeed in Cortina. The S1 Esprit was in The Spy Who Loved Me and was in Sardinia. The underwater shots when it was a submarine were filmed in Bermuda. Sad Bond fan here if you never guessed....
Looking at the clips of that trip in this video again makes me shudder. That really was a crazy trip and I'm so glad I was in that Rolls Royce, as it was only because it was so beautifully engineered in the first place, we got through okay! Beautiful country, though, we'd love to go back to Norway again...
*New Subscriber* : That was a great interview. Interesting to hear the mechanics of how Harry produces his videos. I enjoy Harry's videos as much for his deep knowledge of the industry, and his continued curiousity about the future developments therein, as for the cars themselves. I'm not so interested in hugely expensive, limited run sports cars that I may never even see in real life. But his older cars, and multi-day trips are relatable in terms of suggesting possible itineraries, while allowing us to see what living with an older car can be like. And his annual "Sand Raiders" trip is a fantastic highlight. And *Harry's Farm* . his other channel, is a revelation. As a lifelong city dweller, Harry brings the rhythm, challenges, and economics of farming alive, and is one of my favourite YT channels. All the best, and greetings from Prague !
Harry's trips in his cars are the best, with the decades old Rolls Royce to Norway being among the early episodes I watched, and still among my favourites. 60 years a motorcyclist (55 licenced), and seldom drive a car, I'm a fan of the motorcycle episodes too. Having worked on farms for many years, including 8 summers in the UK, Harry's Farm is also of interest to me.
Great interview of Harry enthusiastically discussing how his epic video’s came about at this stage of his life. Harry has a unique talent for drawing his viewers into his love for cars and adventure.
Hi from Australia. I love Harry's Garage. His reviews on new cars is wonderful as he picks up on little things that others don't. I remember his review on the Porsche GT3, the car I was truly in love with only to find it was not enjoyable on his particular roads and interior noise was quite high. His travels to Europe, particularly in classic cars makes for rivetting viewing.
Really enjoy Harry's channels - Its easy to understand why I enjoy the Car channel but I also found myself really enjoying Harry's farm channel - I think fueled by the very enjoyable 'Clarksons farm' but I consider Harrys Farm to be a 'grown ups' version of that show - educational and interesting. Harry's a very likeable chap isn't he.
The snow scenes in Cortina were in For Your Eyes Only with the bronze Turbo Esprit and the white Turbo Esprit which self destructed. The Spy Who Loved Me had the earlier white Series 1 Esprit which was non-turbo.
The XJS video to Monaco to imitate the 1970s sales brochure is one of my favourite videos Harry has done , the trip to the Artic in Her Majesty, the Silver Shadow is up there too. Sorry Harry , but you got your Bond films wrong. The Spy who Loved me , with Sir Roger Moore and Barbara Bach was white all the way through the film, even after it came out of the sea , after blowing up Caroline Monroe in the helicopter! The cars you are referring to, was in For Your Eyes Only, set in Cortina .
Richard Hammond recently undertook a classic motorcycle journey to India, will you make a classic motorcycle film the next adventure he goes on ? The Dakar rally classic is always something Richard Hammond has considered ?
Nah, we complain about the ads in Denmark as well. They ARE pretty over the top on TH-cam, actually... 1 minute of commercials to see a 5 minute vid?!?
I liked the story of Mike from drivetribe wanting to drive Jeremys Alfa, and Jeremy said no! Only letting Harry dive it just brilliant. Jeremy doesn't like that Mike chancer. Can't stand that Mike guy, time he was unemployed for being a phoney motoring journalist.
Clarkson was quite right not to lend his Alfa to “anyone” I.e. Mike Fernie, who thinks he’s a member of Top Gear since he got his job as editor of Drivetribe. Can’t stand listening to him. Whereas Harry is not “anyone” but a long term friend of Clarkson hence he could borrow it. Mike Fernie should stay behind the camera and let those with genuine charisma or years of experience be in front.
Harry's Garage IS the benchmark. Best car show out there, internet or otherwise.
Such an awesome interview. Well done to both, it was a pleasure to watch

Greetings from Norway here. That trip is even more mad than most people realize! So glad Harry made it home in one piece.

wow watched HARRY from the very beginning glad he is big time now!!
Thanks for uploading this video. Pretty good. Maybe you could mention the year it was held in the description.

So this was 4 years ago?
@@09juliancarr Yes about 4 years ago
Why now?
@@MichaelCoburnIt’s been on TH-cam on the Stars Cars Guitars channel for about 4 years and now I’ve put in on mine.
8:45 It was indeed Sardinia.

Harry is an all round good egg. Using an old english saying .
He almost admitted that TH-cam revenue was paying for the restoration project's and then took the conversation in a different direction
25:15 Adverts are the worst aspect of YT. It really is a pleasure to watch Harry's Garage just because it is not interrupted by irrelevant ads.
Support your favourite content creators and avoid ads with a YT subscription, it gives a much better user experience

when was this filmed ??? his jag and zagato have been done forever
@@frankE91210 It was about 2021
The problem with that yellow color of the XJS was that you also saw this color on the Mini and the Allegro. Very bad for the image of Jaguar.
Don't forget the wonderful morris marina/ital austin maxi & 1800 wedge etc. etc.
Wrong. It was cotswold yellow for the jaguar. And Harvest gold for the mini maxi etc. You tool.
Legend, but must have been shot a year or so ago, based on the cars being discussed?
