    This is pretty sweet! With the Ninja at $399 and the Ninja V+ at the moment....I lean towards Atomos because the price is great for them right now

      um, can you wirelessly monitor but? No , but if you don't need it, defiantly go the Ninja V it's great

      @@MylonasFilmsI looked at the Atomos range too but couldn’t find a simple solution for a wireless setup. It looks like it would need additional transmitters so I’m leaning more towards the Vaxis right now 👍🏻

    Great review of this item! The only question I have is what is the boot up time like? One thing that annoys me about the Atomoms Shinobi is it takes a while to power on, unlike the Blackmagic Video Assist which was basically instant.

    Great review! I found it really insightful. I have a quick question: Can I use just one Vaxis ATOM A5 as a wireless monitor with my Sony FX3/FX30, or do I need a second monitor (one to send and one to receive)? Also, you mentioned that pressing the record button on the ATOM A5 records to the device you’re viewing the feed on-can this also be set to record directly to the camera’s memory card instead? Thanks in advance for any clarification!

    Perfect to send wireless signal to an ATEM switcher and also recording extra footage internally!

    Can you do multi cam to a laptop and use one monitor as a switcher then stream out a live show .
    This is what I’m needing.
    High end wireless multi cam live streaming is what I need and a decent price .
    If you know how I can do this please let me know .

    Is the colour actuate, or at least close to what you are shooting? I've bought a few monitors in the past which where well off. Currently got a Atomos Shinobi 5 which is pretty good, but would like the wireless feature

    Excuse my ignorance for this next question. So if I want to wirelessly transmit video from my a7siii I would need to buy 2 of these? Or do you just get one? But if its only 1 then what gets attached to the camera to transmit signal to the monitor?
    I’m confused

  • @MylonasFilms

    $500 quid for this small monitor? I dont care if it shows whats being recorded at the moon. $500 is camera money.. not monitor money.
    Besides, for a bit more price you can buy Ninja external recorder.

    • @chrisbrockhurst
      @chrisbrockhurst  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      depends on everyones individual useage. If you need backup 1080p recording, a video monitor with every tool you could need and wireless HDMI there is not one other product out there for this price that can do it all as far as im aware (as of June 2022)

    But can you ‘touch focus’? That’s the monitor I’m waiting for. I know Monitor+ can do it but it’s not a dependable solution. Perhaps a wired in Android would be better but that kills the advantage of a wireless monitor.
    Camera control, recording some sort of backup is great, but I want to tap to focus, especially when AF loses a face or eye detect and you need to get the shot back on target. Touch focus saves the day!

    • @chrisbrockhurst

    All these chinese brands have gone over the top pricewise. Asking big bucks for average products is not cutting it for me. It is more expensive than the Atomos Ninja V.

    • @chrisbrockhurst
      @chrisbrockhurst  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Having worked with lots of these brands over the years I’ll somewhat agree, however the big difference now is they are actually innovating and using quality parts. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was exactly the same screen in the Ninja V, this also has Wireless HDMI built directly into it for both TX and RX, that alone is a few hundred dollar worth of tech.
