We had the 382 MBQ. A 2022. Ours had frame failure and went back to the factory. KZ was not understanding as we are Full Time and KZ was difficult to work with. Side wall was cracked all the way into interior wall. They delivered if when we were not home so we could not inspect. Why? Because the interior was damaged worse than when they picked it up! We had to fix it ourselves! Long story. Then the interior started falling apart. Finally sold unit. This was before all the others had failure. We hope yours was built better than ours!
So sorry to hear about the issues you had with your 382MBQ. I've seen a few other owners who had the 382 and had some frame/cracking issues. I will admit I'm concerned about KZ's warranty department. I emailed twice and left a voicemail regarding what happened to my slide but have not heard a word back.
My husband's first cousin is the "Z" in "KZ." They come from a family of hard-working farmers and skilled craftsmen. (And women that are spotless housekeepers!) It shows in their attention to detail in everything they do. They are also RVers, so they know the value of quality in their campers. Enjoy your Durango. It's beautiful!
Darrel Zook sold KZ to Thor. Still a good company but not the same as it once was.

We have the 382MBQ 2021. After a trip we had 4 upper corner slide cracks. It was returned to factory and it suffered frame Bias. Repaired and then back to MoRryde for independent suspension and disk brakes. Could not have been better taken care of by KZ. No problems for the last year. They did a tremendous job on that rig
Forgive me but I've never heard the term 'frame bias', can you explain what that is please and thank you.
@@CruizinWithTheCarsons From the measurements I was given after the repair by Lippert at KZ, it seams like camber/caster with the frame. The IS and the way it was installed as farm as I am concerned can’t happen again with the beefy frame if the IS.
@@robertnasser9937 Let's hope and pray that is the case, sir. I have several friends who own another brand who had IS installed right out of the gate who ended up with frame failure/frame flex.

We had a KZ Stoneridge ( I think the last year they made it). It was great. It was never in the shop or needed any repair.

That class c diesel "pusher" was not a pusher it's a Super C. Engine is upfront just like a Semi. I would love to have one of those but our 2003 Newmar Dutch Star is a Cat diesel pusher with no DPF and no DEF and we paid cash for it 8 yrs ago and love it. Safe travels
I hope you are lucky, it is still a Lippert made frame. Same chewing gum welds, same burn away at the edges of structural pieces.
We shall see. Luckily the Durango and Durango Gold line have had no issues with their frame.
Nothing wrong with Lippert frames in general. They build what they are asked to build. KZ has designed their frames for many years for each floorplan. They even use a few BAL frames. I have owned 7 campers, 2 were KZ and was a rep in the 1990's. There is a lot to the GD issues and not Lippert alone. BTW we had a serious issue with our Durango travel trailer. Mr Zook replaced the roof and rebuilt the curbside wall almost 2 years past the warranty. Thor will never do that.

Absolutely gorgeous rig!!! I'm praying KZ is still making solid rigs for you guys!!! Looking forward to some fun camping videos and reports of how the KZ is holding up, the good and the bad. My wife and I full times in our Excel 36RDE back in the day for 15 years and it was a tank! Now we zip around in our Vintage Lance 880 Legend. Just got back from a 2 week road trip down to Charlotte Motor speed way (stayed on the grounds with our Lance) MA to Charlotte NC. Really pulling for you 2!! Your awesome Humans!!

Nice 5er but I see one major flaw, the hitch is rigid, the MoRryde pin box won't help you. Big mistake, the low carbon steel that Lippert uses from China will eventually weaken over time flex and break. You can mitigate this by using an energy absorbing hitch. You clearly have the financial resources to do it right, dump the KW and get something like a Trailer Saver hitch that will take the up and down shock that breaks the Lippert Over-hang chassis. Otherwise good choice in fifth wheel, some of the design choices they made are very nice. Good Luck.

Would be curious to know what the PDI and independent inspection problems where.
Very minor stuff, a few pieces of trim, one small caulking issue, one small weatherstrip issue, a missing cap over the grease zerk on one of the wheel center cups, a refrigerator door adjustment, a reprogramming issue for the touchpad controller, and one other small thing I don't recall. All in all very good.

But that's not a pusher. A pusher has the engine in the back. Hense "push". It's just a verbal slip though.

I agree with your post. But money talks. SAD, but people should be careful what they say, he got what he wanted out of GD and now everyone is on their own. I can't blame him, but it is disappointing. So many people don't follow through on what they say.
I notice the old video's were down I wished Greg left them up but guess to get what he wanted he had to remove. Just glad he's done with GD and moved on to enjoy them self.

Why would he continue to complain about GD when he doesn't even own one anymore? That's ridiculous! If you want to get oiled then you should start a TH-cam channel. He did what he needed to do to get what he deserved. Just like we would all do if pushed. Not sure why you guys are dragging on him.

I had this truck purchased before I even got home, brother, I was anxious to get out of the dually as my daily driver. Hope all is well, brother, can't wait to hang with you this winter.

We used to bring it, yes. This year we're leaving it at home, we just don't ride it a lot when we're down there and the traffic/crazy drivers have all but scared us from riding down there.

I hope your rig didn’t get the employees a bonus that week. Why can’t manufacturers put trim in that holds. Brad nails don’t cut it. Some adhesive and screws would go a long way. Drives me nuts on my GD. You shouldn’t have to fix such a simple item on a new RV. Please don’t forget about the rest of us gD owners who still need an advocate for change.
I myself would not mind utilizing screws with matching plugs, of all the rv's we've ever owned on every single one I've had to go through trim and molding to make it more secure.
Pretty sure those aren’t frameless windows. Nice rig tho.
