22:13 Mounting the rear shock in reverse. I don't think that you will notice a difference (moved mass vs. unmoved mass), but i just wanted to let you know. You should think about to replace the rear shock with a modern air-shock. There are shocks that provide some extra mm of travel with the same mounting size. 2mm extra travel will respond in ~5 to 6 mm more travel at the rear wheel. Air-shocks are much easier to set up to your weight. Just add pressure or lower it, no need to change a coil. A Head-Shock or Moto 120 fork would look even better but so far it's pretty nice.
Awesome work, Dude! I´ve modernized my old beloved ´05 Stevens F9 Race too, with a dropper post, longer fork, shorter stem, wider handlebars, angle headset, broader rims, offset bushings, and now it´s behaviour is supreme. But I had one problem: First I shortened the stem from 110mm to 80mm, but this doesn´t work well because of the (short) geo of these elder bikes. Now I changed to a 95mm-stem, and it works a lot better. And I had to steepen the seat angle too, because of the longer fork (+20mm) and the offset bushings, otherwise I got problems in the uphill.
i did used that adaptor for brake mount.. but eventually found a aluminum craftsman and he fabricated a mount and weld it to the frame. so good that it looks good on my vintage Marin that my friend mistakes my frame to be a disk ready frame
Dude... this video is superbly assembled. ... as was the bike :) Beautiful content man. It pays to have the right tools! Can't wait to see the follow up videos. Cheers!
Cool looking Cannondale I love the new color it’s so crisp and clean awesome job. The other thing is love your shop so many cool tools. Keep up the good work and stay safe out there.
Well done, great restore and upgrades, loved the Super V back in the day, so innovative. I had to laugh a little though, "$1300 a lot of money for a 90's kid", that's still a lot of money now days for a bike.
Based on inflation, a $1.3K bike in the mid-90's would be equivalent to $2,317 today, which incidentally is around the minimum price today for an entry level good quality full suspension from the big bike shop brands.
Super rad. I still have my old 1994 M800, would love to figure out how to put a modern fork on it and hit the trails again. Ben sitting in the garage for twenty years.
Nice build. That frame is similar to the Scott octane FX3. I had. Updated to 1X10. The chain ring top was on the pivot point and pedalled really well. Sadly, couple yrs ago, frame cracked at bearing points. (over tightened pinch bolts) It was buttery smooth with 5th element air shock, a psylo xc 125 upfront. I miss that bike....:-(
Really enjoyed this one, and your other build videos. I have had one of these since I was probably 12. I would love to do a full rebuild like this. I have some questions on finding the right components.
A beautiful work. The only downside is the transmission bolts (30:58), why put in those ugly bolts, instead of keeping the original ones (or similar)? But I still think it's a beautiful job :)

Cheers!
Thanks!
I wish you didn't put back all the ads on the bike but other than that pretty great results! Very satisfying to watch.
Oof,i feel you man,i know how we take care of the things we love,i had to do a lot of struggle to build my dream cycle
But its still not complete
I had the 900 with disc brakes in ‘98 and a 1000FR after that. Brings back memories
Cool looking Cannondale I love the new color it’s so crisp and clean awesome job. The other thing is love your shop so many cool tools. Keep up the good work and stay safe out there.
You got me with those bars 😂
Ice cold dude 🥶
Well done, great restore and upgrades, loved the Super V back in the day, so innovative. I had to laugh a little though, "$1300 a lot of money for a 90's kid", that's still a lot of money now days for a bike.
@Adam Kozlevčar I'd wish it was that way... man entry level fs are at least 2k
Based on inflation, a $1.3K bike in the mid-90's would be equivalent to $2,317 today, which incidentally is around the minimum price today for an entry level good quality full suspension from the big bike shop brands.
Gr8! After so many years now I'm regretting giving my sv900comp away. Nice restore n build 👍
Always thought a Lefty would look good on the front of a Super V.
I have a Super V 2000 that I’m going to put a Left Max on. In the next year or so.
@@alcopower5710 Got a 1998 1000 I got brand new, want to redo the whole bike just like he did and with a lefty.
Raven style !
All leftys look good.
A great re-build and modernise.. awesome work
Awesome job on the build. It reminds me of a Strom Trooper.
I love to see anything restored thankyou.
Turned out beautiful, I like the seat
I watched the whole video. Bike looks awesome!
With such care to do your restorations, we will keep watching! Congrats!
Super rad.
I still have my old 1994 M800, would love to figure out how to put a modern fork on it and hit the trails again. Ben sitting in the garage for twenty years.
Tough to do. That bike will have a 1" steer tube, requiring a 7/8 threaded fork. RST is the only maker of a fork to fit it, that I know of.
I still have my 90s Cannondale road bike and wish I knew someone that could restore it for me. Great video
Send it on over. ;)
That's the restoration bro 😎
Super video! Great job!
Wow 😍 just restored one of these w a new fork and drivetrain but nothing on your level 😳♥️
I miss that bike....:-(
Ooph. :(
Great colours and build especially with how hard it is to get parts nowadays. Well done.
Haha. Thanks. Yes, getting parts is half the challenge. ;)
Congratulations brother
Really enjoyed this one, and your other build videos. I have had one of these since I was probably 12. I would love to do a full rebuild like this. I have some questions on finding the right components.
Nice video
Love the song you choose it's so chill to watch
A beautiful work.
The only downside is the transmission bolts (30:58), why put in those ugly bolts, instead of keeping the original ones (or similar)?
But I still think it's a beautiful job :)
