Watched this on Funny or Die a couple of time and I've got to say it's one of the funniest videos I've seen in a long time. "Modern day utopia is filled with characters of life!"
This is so dead-on that it goes beyond funny. I'm convinced that somewhere out there, this EXACT one man show is being performed by someone. "What?! They're indigenous!"
Oh my God I've seen this show. I have seen waaaay too many self important one man show's that felt exactly like this. Brought up some traumatic memories.
I used to write this type of stuff in high school drama and speech and think I was soooo cool. Insightful, thought provoking, bullshit. Fred, you are my hero.
I remember having a heart attack when I first saw this and realized Fred was just makin random TH-cam skits in my town! he was/is my fav SNL performer/mind of all time!
I kept on laughing while he was playing the gay guy, because not only was carrie the only person in there, but carrie's also gay. "DO YOU KNOW WHAT WE ARE?!"
It's always weird to hear Fred say fuck. Not offended, but just weird. Then again there's a Thunderant sketch called "Closed" that I wish was on TH-cam. It's absurd, but it was the funniest one out of these Pre-Portlandia bits.
