@@KNowWhat_KathyandScott There is one other thing that caught my eye. I like to watch videos about Costa Rica, I just love the country, but mostly I get disapointed, most videos are too 'turisty', influencer type (some of my least favourite people, to put it mildly) of thing, showing resorts and praise the breakfast they got there..... You guys are much more to my liking. Travelers, curious people who want to see and experience the country, things that matter there! Good job!👍
Wow! Thank you so much for this feedback, it’s so meaningful to us! Our goal in our videos is to portray how safe, beautiful and friendly the world is. We love meeting people on our travels and experiencing life outside of resorts. Although we have fun doing some touristy things too! 😊 We’re certainly not experts, and often learn by trial and error -which is usually funny to us! And we love to share what we’ve learned along the way. Thank you so much for sharing your observations, it shows us we’re on the right track!
So beautiful!! Uvita is on the list for sure!! Funny stuff cause just very recently I had learnt about that monstera fruit and suddenly there you are, with it in full display, lol! Very cool!!
Definitely recommend Uvita! We’re going back to explore some more in a couple months. Too funny about the monstera! I’m curious to try some. Hope it’s not a lunch bag letdown!
@@KNowWhat_KathyandScott I believe it!! I have wanted to go for a while! It WILL happen! This summer will be Samara area again (obviously), but yeah, one of these times, Uvita and the south! lol! Could not have said it better myself sir! lol. Here's hoping!!
I am really enjoying your videos. I am packing up (retiring from 35 years of teaching) and heading to my condo in Playas del Coco. I’m flying in September to Panama City with a stop over and then on to San Jose. I plan on doing a border run and stay for a month in Panama in November. I can’t wait to hear about your adventures in Panama. It will be interesting to compare both countries, especially because they are so similar on the surface but probably very different.
Wow! That’s sounds exciting Terry, congratulations on your retirement! Sounds like you’ll have fun exploring both countries. We’re really enjoying Panamá, and you’re right, there are a few differences between Panamá and Costa Rica but there are also many similarities! Thank you for following our adventures, we are truly grateful for your support!
Thank you!! That music was written and performed by our daughter Gracie. We’re pretty proud of her. You can listen to more of her music at her TH-cam channel here. youtube.com/@graciesherwood5253
im from the south of costa rica near uvita and near the tallest mountain in CR almost 13000 feet : Chirripo which is a word from indigenous people that means eternal waters .
I’m guessing that was the national park at playa ballena. Similar to the US and Canada, many of the national parks in Costa Rica charge entrance fees. It’s a beautiful beach and we found it was worth the nominal fee.
Fond memories.... I've been there a few years ago. Beautiful nature, great country, amazing people.
Pura Vida!
It certainly is! And thank you for watching and leaving a comment. We really enjoy hearing from people about their adventures. Pura vida!

@@KNowWhat_KathyandScott You definitely are! Keep on and enjoy!
Guys, love this so much! We were there in Oct and this took me back. It's a gorgeous place.
Thanks! It is gorgeous! We weren’t there near long enough and we’ve already got plans to go back.

What’s coincidence! We’ll be back in Carillo in August for a few weeks. Maybe we’ll bump into you on the beach!
@@KNowWhat_KathyandScott I do declare, that would be mighty peachy! I think there may be a good chance of that!

What a beautiful part of the world to live in! We definitely want to return some day soon!
Wow what time off the year was this
It was May. (It took us a few minutes to remember that 😂)
We left Uvita when they wanted us to pay to go to the beach.
