Interesting facts:
Olivia was sown into her final outfit since it was so tight
Elvis was considered for the role of teen angel
Sandy was originally just from a different state but since Olivia couldn’t do an American accent like they wanted they made Sandy Australian
Jeff (Kenickie) hurt his foot during Grease Lighting and so he was put on pain killers, which started his addiction, leading to his death
Both John (Danny) and Jeff (Kenickie) had been in broadway production of Grease. John played Doody and Jeff understudied for Danny.
Elvis died the same day they filmed the “Elvis, Elvis, let me be” line
The hickey Rizzo covers when Kenickie says “a hickey from Kenickie is like a hallmark card” was an actual hickey from Kenickies actor so rizzos actor wouldn’t have to go through the makeup process
Kenickie getting knocked out by the car door that barely touched him will forever be hilarious to me.
Rizzo's baby daddy wasn't another guy. It was Kenickie. She was letting him off the hook in a very self-preserving way.
Danny just being an absolute pig
Also Danny: sings a song about Sandy leaving him and he doesn’t know why 😂
Conspiracy theory suggest that in the beginning of the movie at the beach when Sandy asks Danny, "Is this the end" and Danny says, "No it's just the beginning", that Sandy drowned and the whole movie was a dream of her last year of high school as Danny tries to save her life. The car flying into the sky at the end is her ascending into heaven.

These old ass people as teenagers really gives it the vibe of a stage play.
People have a hard time with the ending of this movie but I think its because it was a stage play. And in musicals things are not always realistic anyway. Also Mike I appreciate that you dont have a long intro, you just get to the movie ehehe.

When I was 17, I played Jan in our local theater production of Grease. During the sleepover scene, my character had to eat a Twinkie and drink “wine”. I had to eat a Twinkie soo many times and so now I hate twinkies😂😂
Yeah, there was a moment in the '70s when everyone thought John was going to have a singing career. He put out albums and everything.
He was a pretty good singer; just better for musicals, not so much pop.

Fun fact, the guy Sandy briefly dates (Tom, the football guy) is Lorenzo Lamas, who was a fresh faced unknown in this movie, and he went through a brief period of being a super hot sex symbol tv actor in the 90s, but by the time this movie gets around to reaction status, he's a complete unknown again.
This is my favorite musical of all time from childhood to adulthood. Such a classic. 1 and 2
Sha Na Na, the 50s tribute band that plays the dance band, played at Woodstock.

All Summer the kids in the neighborhood were acting it out and singing the songs. Later in our college productio I played "Teen Angel" who sings Beauty School Dropout to Frenchy.

It's been a looong time since I saw this. Why is the average student age like 35??? If you're interested, Grease 2 starring a young Michelle Pfeiffer is a real sub-par spectacle. Edit: OMG I sang the song Hopelessly Devoted To You in my 5th grade talent show; forgot it was from this musical. (Yes, I was a little faggola for singing this to hundreds of people.)
I swear if I never watch Grease again, it'll be too soon! Worked one summer at Fossil Watches, and the only movie the manager would ever put on the TV was Grease, which they had on repeat the entire summer.
When Rizzo said that it wasn’t Kenickie’s kid , she basically meant that she questioned if Kenickie really loved her or if he would just not be there for her kid. If he really loved her or just used her for sex basically

The ending …. It’s just a bit of FUN … a bit if Fantasy … people need to stop reading so much into it!!!!!
1. I worked at a three theatre movie group and this is one of which is a drive-in. Yes, it was like that. Sometimes moving from car to car. BYO booze&4/20.😎
2. Also, "Up in Smoke", "Animal House" and "Saturday Night Fever".
3. This was a great movie to take your honey to. I was in high school.
4. These songs kill for karaoke (especially Summer Lovin')
5. Marty/Diana Manoff is my honey😍😝😈Her character is a bimbo, but what's wrong with that?
6. The last song was the curtain call.
7. "I'll give you 35c for the whole car, including your chick". 🤣

I never liked Grease, and it took decades for people to agree on my reasons why :)
Weed and caffeine together? That's such a bad pairing, they butt heads so much. Caffeine always kills my high lol.
I know I'm just supposed to have fun with the movie, but I've hated the message I get from it since the first time I saw it. Sandy was dope as hell and then she turned into a trash pig to vibe better with a trash pig.
You need to watch stand by me, such an amazing movie it’s my all time favourite 🤍
