I just got a gladiator a month ago, I had no idea about the jeep wave until today. I tested it out and yes EVERYONE WAVES, I felt like a jerk for not waving at other jeeps in the last month LOL no more, I'm in the club now.
Last week I watched a great video on this channel explaining in detail the diff gearing in the Gladiator. Today, a video about whether people wave at you. Oh how quickly the mighty fall.
Its coming, I am arms deep in the diffs right now. Gotta keep the content fun for everyone. Patience. Don't act like that child at the supermarket. No candy for you.
So, I noticed you made the comment about the Jeep liberty. I own three jeeps, a Liberty, Renegade and a Gladiator. I have no matter which Jeep I drive. However, I don't get much love driving the liberty, I get a little love with the Renegade and well you know about the Gladiator.
I get waves in my modified wj. But it's from other people who actually use their jeeps. My wife gets waves in her xj. I wave at every jeep. It's the jeep snobs who don't wave. I even have a decal on my wj that says "if you own a jeep and don't wave, fn sell it".
That's a good wave percentage. I get about the same in a JL. I don't think it has anything to do with it being a JT. Some jeepers are either not paying attention or they're just clueless to the wave. My wife and I both own JLs and we always wave at Gladiators.
You got about the same percentage of waves that I get here in N GA. Maybe about 15 % of females return wave and no waves from people who just bought their Jeep just to have a SUV- they're not really Jeep enthusiasts.
Get the occasional young ladies do a quick uturn and drive by slowly. Usually laughing with their friends when they see this old dinosaur driving a lifted gladiator.
I drive the punk'n JLU and get the same results. However, YJers always wave! I have yet to get a single wave from a gladiator. Sometimes I dont even know they arent wranglers until they pass me. Some people wave, some dont!
I live in the Northern most town in the area and usually get waved at....but the further South I go the seemingly the less waves I get returned. More waves from modded Jeeps than unmodded and no waves from the fairer humans.
My first week, my first wave was from a slightly modded JK. Perhaps my only wave. I waved back with 2 hands. Today I waved a lot but didn’t look to see if they waved back. Zillion Wranglers in DC Va tho. I don’t expect a wave from stock Jeeps.
Noticing fewer waves during rush hours and the errand time just after it. Think people are just distracted. Waves go way up Friday evening through the weekend 👋
Personally I wave to all jeeps if they are built up for off-road, (other than patriots new Cherokees lol) but even stock wranglers, old Cherokees and gladiators get it from me!
Us Ford Fiesta owners have a secret special wave as well. We are a very elite class of individuals. The peasants who cannot afford to ride in luxury as we do cannot understand the wave. They cannot fathom the power of jacking each other off to fuel their ego’s by owning a car that a billionaire would wipe their ass with. It’s a brotherhood. A blood pact.
Just cause it’s got 7 slots doesn’t earn a wave. I’m a jeep but and have driven many jeeps(trucks,Cherokees, grands, cjs) I don’t wave at square headlights or trucks. Sorry. New gladiators are trying to sneak in and it’s not right! Old gladiators don’t wave so why should new?

Gladiators are basically Wranglers with a bed so I give em the wave. Plus it's hard to tell until you get close.
Jeep peeps are cool. Plus you can’t tell it’s a JT until you’re close. I find that “off-road Jeeps” wave all the time compared to stock Jeeps. 👍
yes I find that true as well,,, modified Jeep drivers seem to throw up the sign more than stock Jeep drivers,

I have found that it is hit or miss with waves, listen a Gladiator is still a Jeep therefore we need our love.. so give us that wave!! :-)
