    A« special Will’s samples pack » would have been a pleasure😄. Very good overview of this great machine

      One of the issues, is that some of the sounds I'm featuring come from other producers of sample packs, but you're right, it could be an idea for me to consider in the future. I have created a load of patches using other gear.......

      All over the place. Some of the samples are from my personal library, but many are from any of the many drum machines I've liked over the decades...............

    Ive had my Deluge since 2019, and it just keeps growing in capability. I love multisample instruments on it, as well as sound design and sequencing. It still feels like i barely use anywhere near its full potential

    That velocity grid array is pretty dope. The Deluge is such a beast. I grabbed one, but just learning the ropes. I’d like to try sampling from various instruments into the Deluge. I’ll take a look through your history to see if you have any tutorials on that. I’d like to sample from sources that have effects turned on. I’m interested in various instrument and synth sounds, some with an ambient slant. Do you use the kit maker tool?

    • @willswitchcraft
      @willswitchcraft  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's pretty simple, mainly because the Deluge AUTOMATICALLY looks at Mutisamples in a folder, and figures out which ones are what notes...You don't even need to name them properly......You can see a quick over in this video - start about 4:00:

    Thanks for this great video. Any tips on what's the best approach to getting multisamples into the deluge?

    • @girlinagale
      @girlinagale 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Record around ten different notes in a good spread across the instrument. Make them individual wav files in a folder. Load the folder onto Deluge sd card.
      Now make a new synth clip, hold an audition pad (furthest right) and press Load - bottom-top will display. Click the selection knob, navigate to your multisamples folder, choose the new one and hit the selection knob.
      You don't need every single note of the keyboard because Deluge interpolates between them and fills in the whole chromatic range.

      Thanks, any tips welcome. At the moment I am thinking of using the multisample function of NI Maschine or Logic Pro and then transfer the files somehow to the Deluge SD card but I am worried it will be a rather tedious task 🙂@@willswitchcraft

    Insane Sound bank. This inspired me to start multisampling again. Only thing is the way you edited these sounds after and technique seems really really good. The way you freaked em out is amazing. I would pay good money for any sound pack you made.

      I guess I'll have to give a Sample Pack some serious thought. Sadly, my Deluge died, and it's been out for repair for almost 2 months. A real bummer, and quite expensive as well. Still hoping for some insights from Rohan and Ian @ Synthstrom.

      @@willswitchcraft That would be fantastic!
      Sad to hear your Deluge died though. Always sucks when one can't use an instrument that you're really jiving with. Luckily repairs are cheaper than a new device. Hope it gets back to your soon.

    Thank you very much for your insight view into the Deluge. It seems to be an "egg-laying jack of all trades" (this is what I found for the German word "eierlegende Wollmilchsau" 😉). What still is confusing to me is the pure amount of keys/pads. I guess you need spider-like fingers to play the pads. When I sometimes use the pads of my Hydrasynth Desktop (very rarely) it´s hard for me to find the "right" pad ("right" = has to sound in tune). On a normal keyboard the lower keys are on the left, the higher keys are on the right. To map the white and the black keys onto the Deluge pads ... I guess that's too much for me 🤭. But nevertheless, an impressive presentation ... again, thank you 👍.

    • @willswitchcraft

      I guess these 'isomorphic' keyboards/pads take a bit of getting used to......thanks for watching
