Edit: and that size amplifier can be much more louder than that believe me, but ok, it's just a kid :-)

As my drill instructors never told me during boot camp at Parris Island... OUTSTANDING! haha THIS is one the primary reasons why EVH is so important to heavy metal, hard rock or just rock n roll in general. Because he inspires kids like this to play guitar. Congrats to this young man. I wish you nothing but the best and, whatever you do, keep on playing so you, too, can inspire kids who come up after you to learn to rock! Cheers!

I was simply trying to make a distinction between the two different generations of how all older guitarists didn't have all the resources and and learning tools that younger guitarists have at their disposal today. When Eruption first came out there was no internet, no tabs, no N U F F I N and what you learnt you learnt by ear
@@thefog7067 I know, but he played it probably worse than most guitarists learned by ear, so to say, "That's how you play it!" to a dude who messed up 70 percent of the solo is inaccurate.

As a fellow guitarist I can tell this kid is great he’s nervous man he’s only ten and he can finger tap he knows palm mutes everything man he’s great and just think that’s him at only age ten imagine him at age 16 if guitar is something he loves I am 16 and have been playing guitar since I was 4 now by the time I was ten let’s just say I still was no where near to as good as he is bro he’s amazing

Honestly, finger taping is one of the easiest techniques to learn on the guitar. It's definitely the easiest part of Eruption. He didn't play any of the parts quite right, but for 10 years old he's definitely on the right path. Would love to hear how he sounds today.

The coolest thing is he's self taught. I've self taught many songs, but not big solos like this. Those types of people are the ones with real talent. Just about anybody can read tabs and get it down after hours, to weeks, to months of practice.
At first, when he started playing I was like oh boy, this is not going to be good... he just warms up a little and he starts nailing a lot of the harder parts, like the tapping. That was greats

most classical pieces on such fretless string instruments are massively harder than what he played. Note that the guitar has frets so intonation isn't a problem at all. Anyway he was 10 at the time and had much to improve and learn.
