I couldn't think of a better place to be to watch the final, not even being in Russia could have been as amazing. The only other moments you could see this in the past was the other 1998 world cup, and before that, in 1945 with the liberation of France at the end of WWII. No other moments.

I'm not actually a big fan of crowds, but I found where we were was quite manageable cause everyone was still quite respectful of personal space and stuff, but I would love to see someone's perspective if you know any other good vlogs from people who went?

My boyfriend, which is South African, just moved with me in France and I forced him to follow the championship. He was mesmerize on Sunday evening and night by the craziness of the streets everywhere. He told me no sports, rubgy, soccer or crickets, bring people like that down there in SA :)
It's true! I haven't seen anything like it in SA. The closest maybe was when South Africa won the Rugby world cup in 2007 but I was quite young so we stayed in our neighbourhood and there was a bit of a buzz afterwards but nothing quite like this!

Thanks Sabine! I know exactly what you mean. The closest thing I've felt to this was being in South Africa for the 2010 World Cup. The atmosphere was the same but it was hardly the same scale as the celebrations here!

I was there in Paris when France won… was going home with my family from a friend’s house after watching the final. It was amazing.

Je me rappelle de ce jour là, il était 20h chez moi sur mon île, moi ma famille et des amies ont regardait tous le match, même si moi je ne suis pas football j'avais envie de regarder. Quand ont a gagné ont était les seuls du quartier qui était chez eux mais ont entendait la foule de fanzone de l'autre côté de la rivière.
Ce fut une expérience inoubliable.

Amazing video. I was supporting Croatia because they were the dark horses with a pretty good side (Modric, Mandzukic, Rakitic, Perisic). However I felt good that France won because they could take rematch from the hurtful loss in the Euro against Portugal. Congratulations and respect to both sides. It surely was an entertaining football match
It has come to my attention that in my haste to upload this video I wrote Cigroud instead of Giroud (Olivier) and I also incorectly spelled "Champignons" as "Champignions".
