Check out Andrew Camarata youtube page young really smart excavator that that fixes and shows you the work that can be done with the excavator. Really smart and talented young man that built a castle out of shipping containers that he use as his work shop.

Yup Anthony is way down to earth. Shows driveways all kinds of drainage systems. Dangerous tree removal. Land clearing property maintenance with the machines. Concrete Foundation installs. Septic system installs underground propane tank installation. Oh and this really cool awesome shop he built out of shipping containers. Even has a 40 foot tower built into it. Looks like a castle. Down stairs he does all his heavy equipment maintenance and fabrication. Hes pretty mechanical. Runs old machinery and shows you how to fix the hydraulics. The drive motors all kinds of undercarriage repirs and maintenance. Hes like You. He just gets the Job done.

Sweet. Its pronounced Tack-a-u-chee. Not that it matters but its one of the best compact excavators out there.
If You have expirence with a backhoe. And your used to the way the backhoe controls operate this machine has a pattern changer. In it. Its a lever plumbed into the hydraulic system. You pull it one direction like a plumbing / water Valve and it automatically changes the boom bucket and stick operation to the same patern as a backhoe. I believe on this machine it is under the rubber floor mat should be a trap door you unscrew next to the seat. Open it up and the valve should be right there.
You have no worries with this machine. They run forever. Just change the gear oil in the hydraulic drive motors every year. Keep those motors in good shape. They cost about $2800 each to replace and about 3 to 4 hours labor.
I have seen compact Takeuchi excavators with over 17,000 hours and still running. Yes thats 17 thousand. 2 complete rebuilds at 8000 hours. Engine, drive motors pumps cylinders rollers tracks. But it was run hard all the time. HARD.

Congrats! You will not be disappointed! You can’t beat the Takeuchis! I’ve got a Tl250 loader and TB153 excavator. The loader has 7000 hours on it and the excavator has 3500 and they are both still running strong! Those 135 are beast! Enjoy!

Spent 3 minutes on net and the service manual(called workshop manual) and the parts manual are on E-bay for around $200.00 for the pair. Didn't find the operators manual in that 3 minute search....
Manuals save hours and major frustration partner.A few more suggestions: get an electric grease gun and put a lock n lube fitting on it. Machine needs full grease cycle every 8 hours.Keep a spare fuel filter on the unit. Keep an empty 5 gallon bucket in your truck so when you break a hydraulic hose, line, fitting you can catch the oil before contaminating the customers property.Leaks never fix themselves: fix them before they get worse(and they will). Mount a decent size fire extinguisher ON the machine. Insurance is worth the expense....and is a tax deduction. The fuel tank is sized to allow for 8-10 hours of operation at "normal" load:if it's a 25 gallon tank that's what you can expect to use in a normal load work day. Might be time to get a truck mounted fuel tank for fueling your equipment.Do NOT go cheap on the hydraulic oil: use what the factory calls for. 303 hydraulic oil is fine for 1970's or older equipment but is not good for newer equipment.
