- This video is a count down to my retirement. I have been planning this day for a long time, now it is here. I'm 66.5 years old and I have my rewards letter for retirement from SS & VA
Hey Tom. I retired 2 years ago come July/August at 61. Sold my company. Unbelievably my triple bypass open heart surgery was helpful: forced me to slow down 90% for 6 months and less and less till now. So, mind is right: I stress about nothing except trying to figure out what day of week it is. I won't take SSI until I'm in my late 60's to maximize survivor benefits for the wife. I'm super busy btw. I do what I want when I want and that keeps my days and weeks full.
Amos you and I have been talking for years about a lot of things my friend. I know you are a smart man, and productive as possible too. Thank you for always commenting on my videos your the best.

You know when I was young, my dad was a contractor. When I was around 15 or so, I started working with him. But, to me it was just a paycheck. I never paid attention and I never went to a trade school, which is my biggest regret in life. I became a cop. I retired with a decent pension. After I retired, I tried the “handyman” business. I realized quickly at how limited my skills were. At least I admitted it😂. Anyway, my biggest regret was not going to a trade school. Hint to the youngsters out there. Being a retired cop, what do I do? Become a security guard for $14.00/hr🙄. If you’re thinking of becoming a cop today, dont😂. Do something else first….a trade school. Do that for ten years. If you need to become a cop or firearm to get it out of your system…..do it. But at least you have something else to fall back on(carpenter/plumber/etc). There, FREE life advice. A lot of kids are a disappointment. I wouldn't think about it much.
I tried mentoring some kids along the way, their shown on my channel from years ago. They never saw the big picture and they moved on to their life.
