It's so wonderful to see Return to Edan in your hands, Petrik! Especially among all those other beautiful books. A fantastic haul, my friend. Happy reading!
I didn't knew that "dragon's blade" and "songs of chaos" were both written by Michael R.Miller. The man looooooves his dragons and so do I. Two more trilogies in the trilogy basket Petrik you are killing me man ! Still grateful though.
It’s always so impressive to see the amount of books you received from authors/publishing house, ect… It also makes me happy since you expressed multiple times how hard it is to get fantasy and sci-fi books in your country 😊
Witness for the Dead is a spin-off, following one of the characters introduced in Goblin Emperor. It is a very different kind of book - basically it's a classic murder mystery in a fantasy world.
hank you! The Dragon's Blade ombinus will be released from TBB on Oct 5th and once those copies sell through it will go up for sale widely across Amazon, Barnes & Noble etc.
Yeeees, I have no doubts that you are going to love The Trials of Ashmount. It really is super close to Abercrombie in style, but not in a derivative way! Eager to hear your thoughts whenever you may get to it! And I am super curious to see how you feel about The Hexologists. Hope it works better for you than The Fall of Babel. Great haul!
Woah, that omnibus edition of Witness for the Dead is gorgeous! Rushing to buy that one as it's one of the few books I reread. (It is a chronological sequel to Goblin Emperor, but follows a different character and has a different focus which is why it has stand-alone power.)
@@PetrikLeo I'd be pleasantly surprised if you enjoyed Goblin Emperor (it hits a bit of a niche and uses a fantasy glossary for roles in the society instead of borrowing terms from real empires/courts) but thanks for sharing the news as always and giving these titles some screen time 😁
I also just ordered “Return to Edan" by Philip Chase, so really looking forward to your review of it, as well your review of “The Words of Kings & Prophets”! Also have ordered: “After Rome: A Novel of Celtic Britain" by Morgan Llywelyn "The Judas Blossom" by Stephen Aryan
Thank you!! for Shauna Lawless, my review for the series will happen next year. I'm hoping I can get around to Philip Chase's sequels in November and December, but we'll see. The last quarter of the year is difficult! :D
The book that you got Vurt has been around for about 30 years or more one of the first books that started the cyberpunk era in science fiction it's about scribble and his gang I read it years ago it's a classic you got a pretty good book Haul another great video keep up the good work
Wow, some very pretty books! Here's a question as a fellow ML Wang diehard, do you think Blood over Bright Haven is now the best indie fantasy standalone book you've ever read?
Thanks Petrik! So glad you got the books! Hope you enjoy them 🙂 P.S. I can't imagine trying to ship one of those Michael Miller books. They're ENORMOUS 😂😂😂
Thank you, John! The shipping price of Michael Miller's books actually are cheaper than yours. I'm not sure how these shipping prices actually works. 😂
I'm going to read Sword of Kaigen for the first time from this Wraithmarked edition. What has been your smallest book haul of 2023 so far? At this pace, please be careful you don't get trapped under a pile of books!
Let me know what you think about The Sword of Kaigen, Jenn! I love that book very much. And yeah... the smallest one is 14 books. My monthly book haul this year is out of control. I think it should slow down for the remainder of the year, though. I think! :D
The witness for the dead and the grief of stones are better than the goblin emperor in my opinion. Even if you don’t like the first book, I would still give them a try.
@@PetrikLeo yeah randomly watched a comedy skit abou it and just had to read it again. I skipped the first 10 chapter and started from the hospital though. It is long enough lol
Man, while I quite like the idea of Isekai, the execution, at least in most anime series I find quite lacklustre and repetitive / predictable / trope-y. BTW, the Fionavar Tapestry is actually isekai, haha! I am waiting a ton of books myself, the list (draws biiig breath) book of the new sun 1+2, malice, valour, wrath, Rendezvous With Rama, Elantris: 10th Anniversary Edition, The Will of the Many, poppy war trilogy, piranesi, count zero, mona lisa overdrive, The Horror Stories of Robert E. Howard, Warbreaker, arcanum unbound, the era 2 of mistborn quarted, city of last chances by Tchaikovsky, the Ray Bradbury collection by Library of America, Gods Of The Wyrdwood by RJ Barker TBB edition, and contemplating getting the Sword of Kaigen by Page and Wick. Phewww. I will probably be eating cup ramen and reading in candlelight to save on power bill, for the next couple of months exclusively. :p
That's the same for me. Isekai in anime or manga seems like a subgenre I disliked. A LOT. I tried the popular and highly praised ones like Re:Zero and Mushoku Tensei (disgusting garbage), and I hated them all. i will still try Fionavar Tapestry, though. And WOW. You are indeed waiting on a LOT of books. I did get The Sword of Kaigen by Page and Wick, and I look forward to that, too! :D
The jhon paladino ones are so preatty!! Omg gona see info about it, i also liked the dragon blade omnibus one. May get that one, also im glad you complited your first law colection. You deserve this gifts. Such a hard worker. Thanks for the book spotlights. 😎👍🫶

Thank you so much, Philip! I look forward to reading the conclusion of your first series! :)
What a chonky boi Dragon's Blade has become! Beautiful to see it in the wild - Thanks Petrik!
No, thank you! I'll get to this after I catch up to Songs of Chaos! :)
Book Haul... leeets gooo
Many books!! 😄
I remember Philip Chase's channel and I enjoyed the videos that I watched. I am glad to see his book.
Thanks for sharing Shauna Lawless.
You're welcome. Thank you for watching too! 😊

Hhahaha Miller is a certified dragon enthusiast! :)
These dragons aren't quite as you know them....
I have Philip's book on my Kindle App! I hop to get to them sooner rather than later!
📖😃📚
I have to continue reading his books soon, too! 😁
Sword of Kaigen is beautiful!!! I want one super bad haha. Might be my favorite book I've read all year!
Hahah Page and Wick still has one available if you want another special edition of Sword of Kaigen! 😁

It is! I mean, this book haul video would consist of ONE book if I didn't get books from publishers and authors. 😂 Thank you so much to them all!
Patiently waiting for your Empire of Silence review.
Should premiere the day after tomorrow or Wednesday! The review has been recorded. Just need to find the time to edit it! :)
Yay for you reading Shauna Lawless's book!
Looking forward to it next year! Hear many great things about it!

Got it! I will still read Goblin Emperor first, not sure when, though. Then after that, I'll read Witness for the Dead! :)

No, it's still The Sword of Kaigen. 🙂
@@PetrikLeo
Okay, that's legit, I think BOBH is just stronger in terms of character work, plot and general build, but that's me and we can disagree
I really need to know if the Shauna Lawless book has spiders in it or if that is only the cover art!
Good question. I'm actually not sure whether a spider is there or not. :D
