  • Roundtables are back! Tune in Monday, May 23rd for the premiere of The Hollywood Reporter’s 2016 Emmy Roundtable season, and every day after for new Roundtable videos. Who do you want to see on this season’s Roundtables? Tell us in the comments below!
    "I had to do a couple of sex scenes in 'How to get away with Murder'--one where I was thrown against the wall. I just allow myself to be uncomfortable," explains Davis. "I'm doing something private in public and the nerves and insecurities and all of that I feel is a part of Annalise. I cannot will her to be made of teflon before she dives on top of a very hot looking guy."
    The full Drama Actress Roundtable can be seen on 'Close Up With The Hollywood Reporter' when it premieres Sunday, Aug. 2, at 11 a.m.

    Viola is so humble. You see her reaction when they were commenting on how perfect her arms are? She's so modest and wise.

    She better SPEAK the TRUTH! Hollywood needs to lean in closely and hear every word. It's time to expand our story-telling. It's time we move something in society with the art we put out too.

    It's so interesting how our insecurities shape our perception of how others will perceive us--not even how they actually do. We build up walls within ourselves based on our experiences and society's expectations and form our own decisions. That's hard to break. But something we all must do in order to feel free in our beings.

    What is wrong with this Stacy Wilson person where she makes up in her own imagination that Viola Davis is lying about what people have said to her? Where do you get off saying shit like that on camera?

    • @cookiemonster8474
      @cookiemonster8474 8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yea that was the first time I've kinda been like wait a minute when Stacy has done an interview. But I think she said that impulsively cause a lot of people are crazy about the show and love Viola so much in it. But on the other hand a lot of people do say Viola was a bad casting choice and such.

    When Dr King spoke of content of character; when Mother Maya praised Phenomenal Woman; when Duke Ellington spoke of beyond category - they would be impressed and inspired that such a talent as Viola Davis exists, and is thriving at what she does with so much grace and passion and eloquence.
