I love watching the face of a serious artist. You can see the total concentration that she puts into her playing, while not indulging in the kinds of garish facial expressions that some artists make.

Over fifty years ago I was in the U.S. Army, stationed in Germany in the Pfalz. As a classical music lover even then, there were only two radio stations I listened to, one French and one German. Both used to fill dead air-time with constantly repeated snippets of music. The Germans used an excerpt from a theme sung by the Drei Knaben from Mozart's "Magic Flute". But it would be years before I learned that the French theme was from the last movement of the Boieldieu Harp Concerto. Having heard that bit of music perhaps thousands of times, the theme lives deep in my mind, and rather than coming to hate it, I have always been thrilled by it, and I always look forward to it whenever I hear the Boieldieu. I wonder if European radio stations still do that. I'd appreciate knowing, thanks.

Same here. I got so frustrated trying to change the blasted clutch pulley on my Honda Odyssey (its compressor bolts are bloody hard to get to) that I had to come in for a change of pace. I was only going to spend 5 or 10 minutes here but spent the entire piece. I was entranced. Ms. Sadikova`s graceful arms and fingers are pure gold and her music sparkles like the facets of a diamond.

What's the use of wasting your time HERE ,criticizing the acoustics of concert halls or the quality of instruments? Hark the Harp, look, listen and enjoy! - This concert is a jewel, duly appreciated by such a young girl (12,13?). All professional musicians are talented in some degree, and how gratifying it is to see priviliged soloists taking advantage of the extra portion they received. .-
A good rendition. My nicer also plays the harp. What a brave young girl to be sitting there right in front of everybody, not playing for quite a lot of the time. I would find it be a bit nerve-racking.

in my opinion, this St.Petersburger harp isn't as bad ad you think. I'm having the same at home, and she is in perfect condition. Her sound is incredible and I would never give her for a new one
талантище, изумительный музыкант, просто восторг!... интересно, сколько по времени уходит каждый раз настраивать арфу, и при том что арфисты все время играют пиццикато это ж надо постараться не рвать струны (не было подруг арфисток поэтому спрашиваю, извините что не в тему)
Если арфа в порядке, используется и настраивается постоянно, то 15-20 минут достаточно, чтобы настроить её перед концертом или занятием, используя тюнер. Если инструмент стоит без использования, настраивание такой арфы может занять несколько дней. :-) А струны рвутся регулярно, так что запас струн (желательно полный комплект) необходимо иметь под рукоцй всегда. :-)

The conductor's job is to keep the orchestra in time with her, after she starts playing.
