That's very nice but I have a question.
Why would people trust anyone with NFC tags? Couldn't it run whatever functions on their phones? Isn't this makes hackers lives easier? How can this be secured?

Step 1: Create an NFC tag that automatically makes your caller ringtone to go off,
Step 2: Stick NFC Tag to your wallet, or somewhere hidden on you
Step 3: Arrive at Awkward date or convo
Step 4: Pretend to put your phone away into your pocket where your wallet, all while tapping the tag setting off the ringtone
Step 5: Act surprised, then excuse yourself to answer the fake ringtone call
Step 6: Fly away from awkward land xD

Is there a way to set up an NFC tag to where it will toggle something when the phone is put up to it and then toggle that same function again when removed from the NFC tag?
Example 1: Placing a phone on top of an NFC tag on top of a desk activates WiFi hotspot, removing the phone from that NFC tag deactivates WiFi hotspot.
Example 2: Placing a phone into a car windshield phone mount with an NFC tag stuck to the mount will increase screen brightness during the daylight hours, removing the phone from the mount (and tag) will decrease the screen brightness back to normal.
It seems like so far the only way I've seen for these NFC tags to be used is that putting the phone up to the tag and removing it performs a task, and then putting the phone up to the tag and removing it again either repeats the task or does the opposite of the task (toggle), thus requiring two actions instead of one.

    • @PixelGRID
      @PixelGRID  6 ปีที่แล้ว

Yes Indeed, some of these applications do allow you to trigger 'Toggle' functionality. And the examples you gave in the comment are 100% possible the way you described.
You knew both the ques & the answer. You just wanted confirmation from me.
And I can confirm from my testing of these apps, it is possible. I hope that helps you...

I hate living on brazil. A pack of 10 tags cost the equivalent of 50 USD

Thanks for this video😍 Is macrodroid safe to install on your mobile? Is the pay app worth the buy? Many thanks!

      I'm glad bro...
Macrodroid is completely safe to use & install.
Extra premium is only worth paying if you want extra macros to be written on tags. I think you can try the app for few days & then decide if you want the pro version or not. I hope that helps to you!

Jason Franqui most cases. Some are too thick, but I've got a relatively thick case and it works fine.

Jason Franqui If the case is not made of metal it will most likely work, but there might be problems with very thick cases.
