Dinagyang Festival is a religious and cultural festival in Iloilo City, Philippines. It is held every January. It is mostly a month-long celebration. But the street dancing performance is showcased every fourth week of January. Every group of dancers call themselves as "tribes". Every tribe comes from different schools or organizations. They wear colorful costumes and props. Kasadyahan is the most awaited part of the festival where the audience could join the dancers while dancing on the street. The streets in the city proper are in a festive mood. There are food parks and souvenir shops everywhere.
Iloilo is called as " The City of Love " because it is a home for soft-spoken, loving and friendly Filipinos know as " Ilonggos".
