It is hard to believe they started this development and "ran out of money", there needs to be some kind of plan in place if a developer runs out of money then new owners should be appointed somehow if some entity flakes out, because this is a disaster just letting them deteriorate and get vandalized. This is the bigger story the graffiti just brought it to light

Sitting since 2019?!?! Where is the city council in all this? Leaving such a huge project unfinished is a blight on its own. The city should have expropriated the property and completed the build and turned the project into a community housing effort within the first quarter after the construction was stopped. The bottom line would always go to the negative and costs will be beyond the property value but at least the units would be in use. I don't endorse the vandalism but it points out the city's need to clean this mess up before what's left turns useless and dangerous from exposure. It is probably the prettiest statement towards urban decay in LA and the city needs to step up with lawyers and cash.

The residents of LA love this stuff, otherwise why would they keep voting blue. They’re getting it ready for the homeless to move in.

Graffiti - all of it - is NOT art, it is vandalism and should be a felony. Anybody wants to do graffiti, let them build their own wall. This is a shame and a disgrace.

Hats off to the artists dropping love bombs onto the world. The way I see it, those artists just made the building more desirable.

It's all graffiti and vandalism until Basky does something and then it becomes a work of art and goes up for sale.

It's a building with stairs and they're standing on a balcony that if it had been opened, people would have been sitting out on.

Why were there no security at these construction sites? I have never seen a construction site without security. That stupidity will cost the contractors millions. Every police officer in that area should be fired. Forget about the nonsense that the judge will let them go. The police should have prevented them from getting in the construction site.
Thank you GIV for this very excellent but shameful video.

I've heard it's Chinese investors that have let the building go abandoned and unfinished

This never used to be part of Los Angeles, my family has been here for over a hundred years and I can tell you right now that that was never a part of it. First of all, the building is horrible, and that is graffiti and it's horrible also. Someone is going to get hurt 😔 the things that people do for notoriety, putting their life at risk.

This is a picture of today's society. Big cities are unsustainable and unnatural and doomed to fail. In my country, there are cultural monuments from the past 2000 years that stand undamaged and have their own message.

The reason the police were there last night (2/2/24), was because of a shooting inside the building.
