I grew up in a place like Detroit (Oakland, CA), and also tore like a bat out of hell soon as I turned 18. I am well aware of the dangers of such places. I like to gawk at ruin porn, and would enjoy seeing it live sometime, but I have better sense than to put my life in danger just for that.

Since you had to grow up in a similar situation yourself you probably realize from some of the same experience of others around you later in your life where they try to put you down for the way you were raised and at the same time putting their self on a petistle as if they were better than you. It really has a way to get under your skin. There was 1 Lady that made the comment that she had always wanted to go to Detroit but still hadn't. Please try to not take it personal like I did myself I apologize to you but if you want to you can check it out on the thread.
