I agree, let the roof lean to one side and let a gutter collect the rain water and funnel it downwards into a concrete rectangular or square block well built into the ground like 20-30 feet dept and this water is then used for washing and watering the gardens and fruit trees in the back yard.

Dear Lord, it would be a total disaster if you hired an engineer who doesn't have the skill and competence to build this kind of roof. You did have leakage all over your home- FRIGHTENING. It's worse in Nigeria, where there's no professional ethics, transparency, and disclosure . They claim to know how to do everything and end up messing up the homeowner. If I know what I know now, I won't choose this roof. I would go for the conventional and be able to sleep at night. My home is as big as your sample home on this video and has two gutters on both sides. I didn't hear you discuss felting waterproof material. Where is it placed on the floor of the gutter or the walls 🧱 ? Last last, this roof is far more expensive than the conventional. Felt is imported from Germany and very expensive.
There is a water soluble paint where you could use that instead of tiles but it all depends of yr forward thinking in the design of the home in the first place but we all learn from our mistakes
I hear you on what you are saying regarding to the fake money but if you have some manual skills in connection then some of these cost will be less expensive
The metal bar is called “ rebar”. The biggest risk to consumer is failure causing leakage. You can cover the exposed concrete with a liquid water proof membrane that that be applied with a squeegee it’s a liquid that dries in 2 hours. You can use also liquid epoxy and do the same thing. Definitely slope the roof to a PVC drain and collect the water if needed for gardens etc. Adding a metal roof to this concept is backward thinking use this space for a roof deck where the family can relax and enjoy. You can cut drums in half add soil and use to set up a roof garden for the wife. Plan needs to provide access to the roof. Where can I get a customized plan? I am coming to your Country next year to have a look. Regards from Barbados
Been that no one is going to see the roof why did you not get white roofing sheets because you might be aware that white is much more cooler that any other colours when it comes to the sun??
This project started late 2017. There was a time we didn't work for a whole year. For the cost I stopped tracking after some time. It can be reassessed though

I think the option to have it slant to the bank is the best, front view and sides should be hidden the back should be exposed to drain it directly.

How do you drain water off the gutter?
I think the gutter should have been made inside a beam unlike being stones on inside and then well plastered. It wouldn't leak.
But may I ask you this question did you seal that gutter with a water sealer to make it impervious to water???

There shouldn’t be any problem is it is probably done with required quality materials as well as regular maintenance and sweeping.
